Yesterday we found a raccoon swiping eggs, and one of the pigeons is missing… we don’t know if the raccoon got it or if it just escaped through a hole in the fence- we are keeping an eye out in case he comes back. We also have Polish chicks that could go to new 🏡. And the three baby Holland lops are almost 3 weeks old. Bees 🐝 are making brooder cells- so they seem happy and are going to start having baby bees 😊 Elena also got cabbage for the chickens and Peacock, but they are currently hiding from the cabbage🫣😆

The three new Bunnies managed to disrupt Elena‘s watering system in the garage again so they got to spend the day out in the yard yesterday drying off and we solved the waterer problem, and now they are all doing fine today😊
They kept causing floods and making swimming pools😆, but I think we are all done with that now. Then Dan messaged us that there was a snapping turtle in the Polish chicken house with the peacock and the pigeons! We got him out, but we still aren’t entirely sure how he got in there?? but it does make sense why the peacock in the guinea and were being especially noisy while we were working outside😆😆 and it’s almost peony time!!

Elena used the old wagon to transport the “teenage” bunnies out to open grass. On her first attempt, she lost a passenger.😆 but one Bunny seemed perfectly happy with the ride. On the second attempt, she used milk crates with better results.🤣 she also moved the Polish chicks out to the brooder- I believe the final number was 27 chicks 😳

We took some pictures of the three baby Holland lops tonight❤️ They are 12 days old and their eyes are just opening up. Next, we counted the 14 new bunnies, but sadly one had died, so Sierra now has eight and Salem has five. They are three days old.

I checked the nest boxes and the 14 new baby Bunnies are doing well at 2 days old. The larger babies are already six weeks old and their cages are getting crowded with their mothers😂 Grayson used his ramp and will be spending the day in the yard 😃and we had over a dozen Polish chicks hatch in the incubator yesterday! I’m not sure if we are keeping them all yet or what our plan is…

We have new baby Bunnies! Sierra had nine babies yesterday and Salem had 5 😎 I moved Salems nest box to see the babies, and they all fell out the bottom so I had to quick scoop them up and did not get a picture. We will need to fix that later. She also bred Salt and Greyjoy, but they don’t look like they are going to have babies. Meanwhile, Grayson is enjoying running in the yard and his ramp. In the incubator, four Polish chicks have hatched…. So even though we no longer have Lil peep the rooster, his legacy lives on.😎

Grayson, the blue Silver Fox rabbit, has a new carpeted ramp 😊 he has so much fun going up and down the ramp and running around the bird yard. He is such a fun, friendly rabbit. Technically, he’s part of Elena’s meat rabbit project, but he has been a charmer since day one and has earned his “forever” status around here. Much like Wilbur in Charlotte’s Web❤️😆 we use him for breeding in the meat project, but Grayson is a beloved personality around here now -and will live out his days here as a protected pet. Meanwhile Sierra, the Californian is busy building a nest and three other ladies got nest boxes last night… maybe more babies on the way😊 the garden is growing. I caught a pumpkin plant, emerging with the seed still attached . And the baby Holland, the lops were all snuggled up doing fine.

Baby Holland Lops are one week old now and doing well. Looks like we have a Harlequin a broken orange and not sure about the darkest one yet. Maybe an otter ? We’ve had a couple cloudy days with rain and today looks like a beautiful day.
Grayson, the blue silver fox rabbit, is already outside in the yard. I made him a ramp the other day and he is pretty proud of himself.

Percival “ Percy” Peacock was out and about this morning 😊 the bleeding hearts are blooming, plants are sprouting in the garden, and baby bunnies are doing great. Looks like a nice spring day.☀️😊

The baby bunnies are four days old now, and their colors are starting to come in 🩷the flock got some watermelon and the garden is starting to sprout. Everything is on track around here, and after a couple chilly days, it looks like we are back to the 60s and sun today☀️🕶️
