The Anderson Obedience Training Club, meets every Tuesday, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Classes for Kindergarten Puppy Training and Beginners Basic class enroll every 5 weeks. The club also offers advanced training in obedience and Rally classes. Public is invited (without their dogs) to visit the classes any Tuesday evening. The Anderson Obedience Training Club, Inc. is a Member club of the American Kennel Club. Incorporated as an Indiana Not for Profit Corporation and recognized by the Internal Revenue as a Not for Profit organization.

Enrollment for puppy classes and beginning basic obedience class will be Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Enrollment will begin at 6:30 PM in the Indiana National Guard Armory, 125 S. Scatterfield Rd., Anderson, IN. Have your puppy or dog on leash and bring current proof of shots.

AKC Obedience Regulation Amendment. The AKC Board of Directors at its May 2026 meeting voted to remove the words "MUST RUN" (Chapter 3 Novice, Section 5, Heel on Leash and Figure 8). Replace with - "FAST" which means that the handler and dog must move forward at a noticeabley accelerated speed. This change is effective June 1, 2026.
