😎 Our Pet of the Week's Forecast: 100% Chance of Fun! ☀
April, our Pet of the Week, is a 1.5-year-old pit/shepherd mix with a whole lot of personality and an equally big amount of pure joy! She's friendly, eager to please, and always ready for a good time!
April arrived at Haven back in April with lacerations and puncture wounds. Thanks to our veterinary and kennel teams, she made a full recovery and was eventually adopted. Unfortunately, she was returned for having more energy than her adopter expected and not being a fan of cats (to put it mildly).
April still has puppy energy, but she knows how to put it to good use! She loves playing with toys, getting the zoomies, and apparently entertaining herself by tossing her own toys up in the air. Of course, having someone join in on the fun is even better! She also loves playing with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine buddy to romp around with.
She's also a big fan of people and will happily seek you out for affection. Once she's gotten some wiggles out, she's more than happy to climb into your lap for cuddle time.
April recently participated in our new Doggy Sleepover Program, and her foster family had great things to say! She was adaptable, did well with their dog, and was comfortable in a crate. She's still very much a puppy, with lots of fun and love to give.
April's ideal home:
🐾 A family who enjoys playing and interacting with their dog
🐾 Another playful dog friend would be a big plus!
🐾 No cats, please!
🐾 Plenty of toys, playtime, and opportunities to get those zoomies out
🐾 Someone who also appreciates a good cuddle session once playtime is over!
