Fun fact!
Throughout the winter/spring Rita has recently grown a mustache! While some breeds are meant to have one; Rita’s breed is not meant to grow one. Although I find it adorable on her and will continue to see how long she will grow her mustache. She even lets you style/curl it up Here are some pictures of her mustache!

What are some breeds that grow mustaches?
Hint: We have one of these breeds at the farm!

Yesterday two of my students got to put their hard work into action with their golden boys! Richie took two third places with his leaser who will be showing him at her county fair! Doc took a second and a fourth with a student who has taken him under her wing as a project to help him start being a good rideable citizen! Both girls did fantastic and their hard work pays off!

Today is our favorite buckskins birthday! Little miss Rita is officially 7 years old. We have owned Rita for five years now and she definitely has kept me on my toes with her quirky silly self. I can’t wait for this years show season as both her and I have put in a lot time and work to make this year show season count! Here are some of my favorite pictures of her!

Yesterday was a big day for the boys here at the farm. We packed up three of them and took them to their very first show of the season! Scout and Wilson have been shown before but this was a first for Pickles! All three boys did fantastic in their classes. Scout placed 1st in his ranch conformation class followed by Wilson and 3rd was Pickles!
Pickles went into some walk/trot ranch classes and placed 4th for his very time in a large class of 9 horses. I’m thankful for my sister who got to show him while I showed scout.
Now on to the next show with these boys and few others at the farm!

Happy gotcha day to Richie!

It has been a full year of having our favorite Haflinger here at the farm. He is a lovely addition to the farm and lesson program. In the year of having him he has taught a lot of kids and adults to love and enjoy riding! Here’s to many more years with our favorite Haflinger.

Horse of the week!

Doc!

Doc is a 15 year old palomino quarter cross gelding. Doc is a boarding horse with me that is in work with one of lesson students to get a refresher on somethings! He is a very sweet andd loving guy. Docs partner in crime is Cisco but you can see him out and about palying with Richie a lot too!

The boys of the barn enjoy going out early in the mornings to spend some of their day with their friends. This group consist of some of the horses we have met! We still have some horses to meet at the barn! Check in next week for the another horse of the week!

Fun fact: Wilson has been shown in many classes including western pleasure, showmanship, halter and so many more. He is leased out this year and will be returning to the show pen again! Enjoy this video of Wilson and his best buddy Scout out and about in the pasture on a warm early morning
