Meet Me Monday - Tig Tig and Sasquatch!

Tig Tig and Sasquatch are a 2-for-1 bonded pair of 4-year old boys who are ready for a comfy couch. Both love snuggles and lots of attention. They must be adopted together.

Tig Tig is a 12.25 pound, brown and white tabby with a black and gray striped tail, orange tummy, and white mittens. He has pretty yellow-green eyes, too.

Sasquatch is an 11 pound, cream-colored, medium-length haired male with a very fluffy tail and chest. He has a few spots where his fur is thinner due to a previous, severe flea infestation, but it’s growing in, making him a gorgeous boy. He is a polydactyl cat, which means he has extra toes. His large mittens are hard to miss. You’ll also notice he’s a tiny bit cross-eyed.

Both boys are good with other cats, dogs, and kids, and they make great costume models!

Apply to meet them at www.amesanimalshelter.org.

Ten Reasons To Adopt a Black Cat!

As Black Cat Awareness Month comes to a close, we thought we’d leave you with a final thought - or ten!

Reasons to adopt a black cat:
1: Black is always in season and never goes out of style.
2: You instantly look slimmer holding one in a photo.
3: Their fur won’t show on your little black dress.
4: Their glow-in-the-dark stare.
5: You never have to worry about losing one in the snow.
6: You can tell your kids it’s a miniature black panther.
7: They bring an air of mystery to any home.
8: They’re ninjas - blending in and disappearing anywhere.
9: You could name it Bagheera.
10: Love knows no color.

Foster Friday - Stringed Instrument Litter

These 4 kittens are still waiting to be adopted. They have very pretty coats, and their foster dad says they are super sweet and very playful, so all they need is for people to come fall in love with them.

Ukeke is a soft gray tabby, Boozouki and Rebab are brown marbled tabbies, and Valiha is a brown tabby. They are approximately 12 weeks old.

These kittens genuinely enjoy spending time and playing with each other. They would be amazing in pairs or in a home with another playful cat. Their antics are grounds for inducing numerous bouts of belly laughs.

Apply to meet these babies at www.amesanimalshelter.org.
