Sometimes we get so busy helping others that we forget to save enough for ourselves!!

We are dangerously low on dog food - both kibble and canned. We went to the shelves yesterday and realized that we only have enough food to last us maybe to the weekend!

Our dogs primarily eat Blue Buffalo - not because they are boogie but because maintaining a good quality and consistent diet keeps our dogs healthier!

We would gladly accept any brand of food, however. We do mix brands together so stretch their food further.

Meet Bonnie and Clyde!

They are sure to steal your heart!

4-1/2 month old Shih Tzu mix cuties!

We were told that Mom was a shih Tzu and daddy was a long legged long hair Chihuahua

Available for meet and greet tomorrow (Saturday) from noon to 4pm! We are now accepting applications.

To the woman who just called me about 2 stray pit bull dogs she claims to have found .

Do not think you can cuss at me and bully me and I will do what you demand?

We are full and stray dogs must be taken to the county shelter.

First you tell me you have them in your car then you tell me you have no car and can't take them to the shelter. Then you threaten me and call me "sweetie"

You want to come and kick my a** as you stated, come on... waiting for you and police are one quick phone call away.

Sweet little Tito is exhausted.. he is taking a much needed nap and sleeping off the stress of the storms

Tito is about 10 years old and the sweetest old man! (Chihuahua)

Meet our newest addition!!

This is Buster (standard bred poodle or some type of a doodle mix...hard to tell what's under all those yucky mats right now)

This sweet boy was at the Rockcastle County Animal Shelter .

He is a bit rough around the edges and needs a bit of training.

We don't know much about this boy other than he is friendly, about 40ish lbs, is somewhere between 7 months old to 2 years old...(I know...we are confused as well..l) in desperate need of a grooming and he is now SAFE!!

It will be a couple of weeks until this boy is ready for a home but we are confident that once he is ready, he will go quickly

We do ask that rescues consider stepping in and helping get some dogs out of Rock castle..it is a very small rural shelter with extremely limited funds, limited help, very limited adoptions and a high euthinizia rate.

Rural shelters do suffer from lack of funds and lack of help...they need us!

Thank you to the team of dedicated volunteers in ky and our dedicated volunteer who met the transport and helped us get Buster to our rescue.

More to follow as we get to know him and get his vetting completed.

Ya gotta come meet this fella!

Dylan was terrified when he first came in earlier this week. His photo from the shelter almost had us in tears. (1st photo)

But look at him now! Those ears are adorable!! (2nd photo in our play yard)

Only took him a day or so to settle in!

Dylan is about a year old..sweet, playful and just a little shy.

He is not quite ready for adoption (needs to be neutered) but is ready to meet you on Saturday!
