This one has discovered the glass.

Paws up, face out, staring at every kid who walks by. We're calling it the puppy in the window move, and honestly, it's working.

Axolotls are one of the most fascinating animals you can keep: they stay aquatic their whole lives, they regrow lost limbs, and they always look like they're smiling. They do need cool water, gentle flow, and a sand-bottom tank, and we can walk you through the full setup.

The axolotls are in the shop now at Logan Valley Mall in Altoona, and this one is accepting visitors today until 7 PM. Come meet them in person.

Angelfish are the centerpiece fish for a reason.

They move like they're posing: tall, slow, deliberate, with those long trailing fins. In a planted community tank they bring height and presence that small schooling fish can't.

A few things to know before adding them:

Angelfish prefer taller tanks, since their fins grow long and they swim vertically as much as horizontally.

They're peaceful, but they're still cichlids. They do best with calm tankmates like tetras and corydoras, and they'll occasionally claim territory when breeding.

They love warm, soft, slightly acidic water and a heavily planted tank with broad-leaf plants to rest against.

We have angelfish in the shop now, including these koi-patterned ones swimming in our own tanks. Come in and see them in person: we're open today until 6 PM at Logan Valley Mall in Altoona.
