DJ working with Lena on one of our favorite commands — wait at the doorway. 🚪🐾

It may seem simple, but it’s a huge safety skill. “Wait” can be used at doorways, crate doors, car doors, gates, and even at the top of the stairs!!

Teaching dogs to pause and look to you for direction helps build impulse control, manners, and safer everyday habits!

Rockin’ for Rescues was a success!!

We had so much fun celebrating with Barkville Dog Rescue as they marked an incredible milestone—10 years of rescue work and more than 3,000 dogs saved. What an amazing accomplishment and a testament to the impact they’ve had on so many dogs and families!

Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of the celebration, and thank you to our amazing clients who came out and spent the evening with us—we loved seeing everyone!

Our team had an absolute blast, and we’re looking forward to continuing to support Barkville and the incredible work they do. 🐶

Socialization field trip day at the Alpharetta Arts Streetfest 🎨🐾

Our trainers spent the day working through distractions, confidence building, engagement, and neutrality around all the fun sights, sounds, smells, and crowds. Safe to say the dogs had a blast… and definitely thought every food booth was for them!!

Meet our new foster dog, Bobby!!

Bobby is a 1-year-old beagle with the sweetest personality. Beagles are known for being incredibly friendly, social dogs and Bobby is exactly that — he loves people, loves other dogs, and wants to be involved in absolutely everything going on around him.

He’s active, goofy, curious, and spends his days here on the farm running around with the dogs, sniffing every inch of the property, and making sure nobody is having fun without him. Typical beagle behavior.

Bobby’s ideal home is probably one that appreciates a little personality, a little comedy, and a dog that believes every walk should be treated like a full FBI investigation.

He’s currently located at our facility in Milton, and we’d love for you to come meet him and learn a little more about his personality. And if you’re not quite ready to add another dog to your family yet, your pup can still come make a best friend out of Bobby during daycare or boarding! ❤️❤️

The dogs heard our General Manager Emma graduated from Kennesaw State University and immediately decided there had to be a group celebration…😅
We had a blast celebrating her today with cake, chaos, and lots of very interested dogs who were convinced the party was actually for them. Honestly not sure how Emma survived college and us at the same time, but we’re proud of her!!!

At Atlanta Dog Trainer our 2-week Board & Train program focuses on building a strong foundation of obedience, focus, impulse control, and better decision making in high distraction environments 🐾

This program is designed to help dogs learn how to slow down, engage with their handler, and better navigate everyday life both at home and out in the real world. Whether your dog needs help with manners, overexcitement, leash skills, confidence building, or overall structure, our goal is to create clearer communication and a more balanced relationship between dog and owner!!

Dock Diving is officially back for the summer! ☀️💦

This is one of our favorite classes of the year and such a fun way to bond with your dog while teaching them an exciting new skill. Dock diving is great for confidence building, mental stimulation, and exercise that’s easy on the joints!

We offer both beginner and intermediate class options, whether your dog is brand new to the dock or already launching like a pro. 🐾

And if dock diving group classes aren’t your thing, we also offer private dock diving/swim sessions and private pool rentals! Our pool is 52 feet long, holds 30,000 gallons of water, and is located right here on our 2.5 acre farm in Milton. Perfect for dogs who want extra one-on-one help, low impact exercise, confidence building, or just some fun in the sun. ☀️

So a couple weeks ago, one of our board & train pups needed help learning how to exist around chickens… normal stuff 😂

So naturally, Madeline said, “I know a guy,” and next thing we know, we have two chickens clocking in for a training shift at the farm.

We worked a few dogs around them, everyone made great choices, no chickens were harmed, and yes, that is DJ holding one lol.

Safe to say this is not becoming a regular service offering because we are not running a traveling petting zoo… but the dedication from our trainers is unmatched, and we’ll always do what it takes for the dogs !!❤️

Had such a fun morning at the Alpharetta Farmers Market with petwantsatlnorth

We brought a few pups out with us and they absolutely soaked up all the love and attention. It was also such a great real-world training opportunity with tons of distractions, new people, sounds, and smells to work through!

We’re planning on being out here consistently, so we’re really looking forward to seeing familiar faces each week and meeting more of the community!!
