Meet the newest herd sire!

He needs a name and I need better pictures of him. He was bred by and is co owned with my bestie, Jenna. I can't wait to see what he produces!

Our goal is to get show quality rabbits in booted tri's and I think we can achieve that in a year or two. Ultimately color is not as important as body shape for show rabbits, but it doesn't hurt to have both a well built and pretty rabbit. Its unfortunate that booted tri's aren't a recognized color, but we will make it work.

I didn't get any pictures, but we had an absolute blast at the chewelah farm barter! Most of my rabbit hides have hopped along with the main part of the silkie flock. A few rabbits hopped home, one being a new herd sire, while the rest are just stopping by on their way to camp Kenmore.

My middle child came with and had so much fun on his 4th birthday! He was throughly spoiled and slept hard all the way home.

Its always a joy to attend these events, thank you Madeline Dunn for putting these together. I look forward to the spring barter ❤️

I have a very good reason for falling off the face of the earth.... again... his name is Trazyn the infinite. Named by my husband and middle child.

A very long story short, he's a rescue that i was 100% sure wouldn't make it, but he has proven me wrong time and time again.

Pictures from the very sick little baby I was told about, to the energetic little kitten he always should have been. Final note, people suck. This was a neglect case and 100% preventable.

Another gift from my favorite father in law! It did get him before he got it though and he had a small gash on his hand. This noodle was extra spicy and stayed in the little rock cave for a half hour hissing at nothing. All the kiddos got to pet the spicy noodle before it was released back outside near the house.

This little guy needs a name!

He is a serama rooster and an absolute sweetheart. He is the sweetest rooster I have ever met. He cuddles, he purrs, but he is super submissive and lacks any skills with the ladies. I have no doubt he will find his mojo soon.

What would you name him?

I had a semi unwanted visitor today.

I was on a video call with my mom when I noticed this lovely predator had taken out one of the annoying flys around the animals.

Normally I would be happy to see this. I don't often get to see little air predators take out things, its something I find super cool actually, but this predator just happened to take out a fly that had landed on my chest.

My mom cackled as I used my phone to gently guide the little guy elsewhere, narrating the entire thing.

Mini air predators are cute and fun, but my B**b is not a battlefield. Hunt somewhere else next time please!

I started this shawl July 3rd and finished it today! A month and a day. Not bad for tiny yarn. I did not spin this beautiful yarn.

I keep telling myself no more tiny yarn, but have a ton more on an Amazon wish list. I even found this exact yarn! Send help.

Now I need to figure out what to do with the thing and need a new project.

It's been an interesting day up here on the mountain. We are safe. No rabbits have broken backs. The thunder was loud!

These fires are a bit too close for comfort, but we have amazing fire crews who do not play around. I was happy to hear the helicopter buz the house a few times checking everything out.

Thank you Stevens County fire crew!

Doe leen!

Her fur looks awful. She pulls sooo much fur that she goes bald in just about everywhere she can reach. This is what she looks like when it starts growing back. Not all rabbits look show ready 100% of the time and thats the reality of breeding.

Leen here is one more "leg" or show win from Grand champion. That should tell you how gorgeous she is normally.

She is such an amazing mom. She will mother anything that gets put in her box. I can toss in kits younger than what hers are and she will mother everyone. She is who i breed when I breed first time moms.

I have been breeding her less often though because she has started throwing mega kits and smaller litters. They are getting harder on her and she is taking longer to recover. Shes telling me that she is almost done with breeding.

When she eventually retires, she will stay here until the day she passes. She has earned a place here for the rest of her life. She may be a grouchy girl who doesn't like me much, but I love her grumpy self.

Despite mama guniea constantly stepping on, knocking them over, flinging them about, and generally being a bad mom, all 21 keets are alive.

Mama is being a great heater and very defensive of the babies. Thats about it though. The babies are in a small enough area to find food and water themselves, thankfully, because mama isn't teaching them anything. I cant wait until they are feathered and I can kick her out of the nursery.
