Honoring Paul - A Celebration of His Legacy.🐾🪽

July 3rd, 2025 join us at PAWS N Ada from 5:30 pm to 8 pm for an evening in remembrance of Paul and a huge turning point for our shelter.

We're planning a special gathering on July 3rd to honor the life and legacy of Paul, a beloved shelter pup who changed the course of our work in ways we could never have imagined.

For those who are new to our community, Paul was raised in the shelter and struggled with severe kennel stress. Despite tireless efforts from staff, volunteers, and fosters, he faced overwhelming challenges adjusting to life outside the shelter-especially around other dogs and loud noises.
Ultimately, we made the heartbreaking decision to let Paul go, just before the fireworks on July 3rd.
Paul's story was the first behavioral euthanasia we ever shared publicly, and while it broke our hearts, it also opened many eyes. His life-and loss-sparked action.

He inspired the formation of our PALS program, brought in new volunteers, and helped shift the conversation about the mental well-being of shelter animals.

Now, we want to celebrate Paul. Not just to remember him, but to honor the incredible impact he had. We hope to use this day to reflect, reconnect, and perhaps even help a few more long-stay shelter pups find their forever homes - something Paul would've wanted.

Let's come together for Paul-and for all the dogs still waiting. Be part of the change in our community. We miss you, Paul boy.🫶🏻

She’s a 2-year-old Collie mix. Our girl is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find her forever home! This proper little queen might be shy at first, but snacks (and a little patience) work wonders..

🩷 She’s a dog’s dog—loves group play and would thrive with a canine sibling.
🩷 She’s a total water baby—bring on the lake days!
🩷 Crazy smart! Watch her hop in the car like a seasoned road tripper.
🩷 Great on leash—attentive, eager to please, and checks in often.
🩷 She adores being brushed and reminded she’s gorgeous (because, duh, she is).
🩷 And yes—she’s absolutely down for daily Hot Girl Walks.

Foster Spotlight: Meet Oscar!🥹

Oscar is a young pup with a big personality packed into a little body! This adorable mystery mix is neutered, microchipped, and has had his first round of puppy shots—ready to grow into the best version of himself in a loving forever home!

🐾 Oscar loves to run full speed around the yard (even if it’s not that fast) and wrestle with his animal friends! He’s a goofball who brings the fun wherever he goes.
🐾 Oscar lives for cuddles and has zero concept of personal space—but he’s not a fan of being picked up. He’d much rather snuggle beside you than be carried.
🐾 Big dogs, small dogs, cats—Oscar loves them all!
🐾He’s still figuring out his place in the world and would thrive in a home where he can continue to grow in confidence and love.

Though we’re not exactly sure what breeds are in the mix, Oscar’s vet records say Shepherd and “a little bit of everything good.” Whether he grows up to be a big dog or stays a compact 30 lbs, his heart is already HUGE.🤭
