Meet Fred 🧡
Fred is an 8-month-old male cat with approximately 1/2 a brain cell… and we say that with love.
This handsome little goofball loves to window-bathe in the sun, play with toys, enjoy head scratches, and follow his stomach wherever it leads him. He is highly food motivated, which is a nice way of saying snacks may be the key to his heart.
Fred is extremely cat-friendly. Unfortunately, not every cat returns his affection, so his love is sometimes a little one-sided. He also seems mostly unaffected by dogs, which makes him a pretty easygoing guy in that department.
He may have the instincts of a mouser, but we are not confident his survival skills would carry him very far, so Fred is not suited to be a barn cat. He needs a home where he can be spoiled, supervised, and loved for the ridiculous gem that he is.
Fred can play rough with children, so he would do best with older kids or a family who understands that he is still learning his manners. He was returned for “bullying” a child, which feels dramatic considering Fred is basically just chaos in cat form.
He enjoys head scratches, but any other scratches may result in a tiny boxing match, so boundaries are important with this boy.
Fred is funny, sweet, food-loving, toy-playing, sunshine-soaking, cat-adoring perfection.
He’s a gem. We love him. Now he just needs someone else to love him too. 🧡
