Yo-yo was born 5 weeks ago tomorrow. A litter of 9 with some fatalities due to the sizes. Prior to this litter, Teddy is the smallest kitten I have ever successfully raised.

Teddy was 53 grams and dropped to 49 (or 47). Yo-yo has matched Teddy’s weights. Now let me paint the last 5 weeks with Yo-yo and Teddy. Rule #1- If I don’t feed them, they don’t eat. It’s not that they can’t. They choose not to.

Teddy still believes I am his mother. Yo-yo got his name from the scales going up and down. I have stayed up many nights to take care of this boy. Today, he is still way behind on his target weight. He is lighter than his siblings were at 2 1/2 weeks. Yesterday is the first day I did not syringe feed him milk. This morning he lost from 414 to 412. However, he has eaten himself back up to 420.

At bedtime, Yo-yo is 426 after eating some soft food. He will not eat without me yet but I’m working on it with him.
