SPRING PET POISONS
Gardening season is here! Plant bulbs are just as excited to break through the ground to add some color to our yards as we are to see some greenery! That said, we need to be aware of the potential dangers spring plants can be for our pets. Here is a list of some of the most common spring plants and their toxicities… so you know how to pet-proof your garden and keep your pet safe.
• Tulips
• Hyacinths
• Daffodils
• Lilies (Including Lily of the Valley)
• Crocus
In addition…
• Fertilizers
• Pesticides/Insecticides
• Iron
• Ham
• Fake Grass from Easter Baskets
• Candy/Chocolate
The best thing any pet owner can do is to be educated on the household toxins (both inside the house and out in the garden!) – that way you make sure how to pet proof your house appropriately. Make sure to keep all these products in labeled, tightly-sealed containers out of your pet’s reach. When in doubt, please feel free to call Pet Poison Helpline at 1-855-764-7661 with any questions or concerns if you’re worried that your pet could have inadvertently gotten into anything! Or you can call your local E/R : NEAMC 508-584-1600, VCA SouthShore 781-337-6622, or ANGELL 617-522-7282.
Power is out and phones are down. Please bear with us as we wait for the power to be restored.

It’s a mistake many people wouldn’t make if they really knew the truth...
In most states relocating a wild animal is illegal. Pest control companies are required by law to EUTHANIZE any wild animal they remove from your property. Yes - that includes babies.
If a wild animal finds refuge in your home and you need them removed, please tell the pest control company you want them removed from the house but released on your property. Block up all potential entrances. No one has to die.
Baby season is approaching and families need not be ripped apart. If babies are placed outside in a box and mom is given the opportunity to reclaim them, in almost all cases, she will. You can contact your local wildlife rehabilitator for reuniting strategies.
Please spread the word. Many people don’t realize the sad truth about this until it’s too late. Together we can spread this knowledge and save countless lives. ❤️

Severe winter weather heading our way!🥶

Are dogs OK outside in the winter? How cold is too cold for a pet in the winter? Here are safety tips to keep man's best friend safe and warm.
The next 4-6 weeks is mating season for coyotes. Please do not let your dogs out alone. The coyote gets your dog to chase him and then somewhere in the distance the pack waits for your dog. Then the outcome is tragic as they can & will attack/kill your pets.
Coyote breeding typically peaks in late February and early March, the gestation period averages 58 to 63 days. Male coyotes can become more aggressive during this time of year. Coyotes always pose a risk to your dog (and other small pets). That risk increases during mating season.
Xylitol is an extremely toxic ingredient (for dogs) used in gum. It is also being used in products like peanut butter. Please refer to the video below.

We are limiting the number of people in the building.
