On 11 December 2025, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chiang Mai University, organized the Chiang Mai University Veterinary Conference 2025 (CMUVC) under the theme “From Science to Care: The Future of Diagnosis and Therapy for Pets.” The event also included a ceremony to express gratitude and honor benefactors, as well as partner organizations, for their continued support of the Faculty’s operations and academic activities throughout the past year.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Thossaporn Pichaiya, Vice President of Chiang Mai University. The objectives of the conference and welcoming remarks were delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Warangkhana Chaisowwong, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Lifelong Education, Chair of the CMUVC International Conference, and representative of the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. University executives, faculty members, staff, and students warmly welcomed the conference participants. The conference was held from 11–12 December 2025 at The Empress International Convention Center, Chiang Mai Province.
CMUVC 2025 was organized with the aim of promoting the dissemination of up-to-date knowledge in animal husbandry and pet healthcare, serving as a platform for academic exchange, and strengthening collaborative networks among animal health partners at both national and international levels. The program featured lectures, academic panel discussions, research presentations, and exhibitions of products and innovations from animal health businesses. The event also included The Exotic & Aquatic Pet Show: “Youth Join and Learn Community,” which attracted strong interest and participation from veterinarians, entrepreneurs, university students, and upper secondary school students.
In addition, the first phase of CMUVC 2025 featured Pre-Congress Workshops held from 8–10 December 2025 at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Chiang Mai University. These hands-on workshops focused on diagnosis and ophthalmic surgery in small animals, emphasizing ocular and eyelid disorders in dogs and cats, along with practical training in diagnosis, treatment, and surgical techniques.
The Main Conference, held from 11–12 December 2025 at The Empress International Convention Center, featured keynote lectures, innovative research presentations, and interactive sessions. These activities promoted the exchange of knowledge on global animal health issues and emerging trends among networks of veterinarians, alumni, academics from public and private sectors, animal health entrepreneurs, and the general public, both Thai and international. The conference contributed to enhancing professional standards and advancing knowledge in line with international developments.
