As part of their Campus Care Network initiative supporting students in need, staff of Temasek Polytechnic School of Humanities and Social Sciences placed a special group order of our fresh mushrooms and mushroom pâté, with part of the proceeds going towards the student support fund .hss

One community supporting another.

Yesterday, our team harvested, trimmed, packed and delivered trays of fresh mushrooms to the TP campus.

Their support of Mushroom Buddies helps us remain sustainable so we can continue providing meaningful work for our staff who are differently-abled, while also contributing towards helping students who may need a little extra assistance during their time in poly.

A meaningful collaboration built around community, inclusion and support.

For the past one year, has been quietly supporting Mushroom Buddies in more ways than one 🍄

Every month, a team of their staff spends the morning with us at the farm as part of their CSR programme, helping out alongside our staff and volunteers. They have also been consistently ordering our fresh mushrooms weekly for the hotel, including featuring our locally grown Pearl Oyster and Abalone Oyster mushrooms in dishes served at their buffet spreads.

Their CSR sessions may only last about 2.5 hours each morning, but the support and encouragement they bring to our farm means far more than that.

It is partnerships and consistent support as such that keep us going and strengthen our mission to continue creating meaningful work opportunities for persons who are differently abled.

We are deeply grateful to the team at Carlton City Hotel for journeying alongside us over the past year.

Most of all, loved seeing our fresh mushrooms featured at , beautifully captured by 🍄

To all who have been asking about our June Farm Tours 🌿

Unfortunately, we will not be conducting any Farm Tours this June as the volunteer team who helps us run the tours will be unavailable during this period.

We know many of you were looking forward to visiting the farm, and we are truly sorry for the disappointment.

We are hoping to resume our Farm Tours again in July, if not August, and look forward to welcoming everyone back to the farm soon 🍄

Please keep a lookout for our next Farm Tour flyer.

Thank you once again for your continued support and understanding 🌿

Takikomi Gohan 🍚🍄

A comforting Japanese mixed rice dish cooked with mushrooms, stock, and seasonings where the flavour of the mushrooms slowly infuses the entire pot of rice.

This version was made using a mix of our fresh mushrooms from our farm, Mushroom Buddies. Different mushrooms bring different textures and flavours to the dish, from the delicate strands of Lion’s Mane to the firmer bite of both Oyster mushrooms.

Fresh mushrooms make all the difference in dishes like this, adding natural aroma, texture, and umami to every spoonful.

Simple ingredients, slowly cooked together into something deeply comforting.
