Growing well in the hydroponic blocks. Laksa, basil, chillis, kangkongs, and mint. All you need is top up water every other week.

Grow herbs, vegetables and chillies. The blocks have been on the balcony for three years. Still good and producing under hot sun and heavy rain. Perfect for beginners, lazy farmers or people who are stressed out with the global insanity. Nothing grounds you or calms you like growing your own food. Onekindblock.com.

Imagine you can do this in apartment blocks. That’s why we designed them to be LEGO like so it adapts to your apartment

Rooting herbs in a can. I’m using basil but most herbs and Veg will work. Simply fill the can with water, turn the tan around and stick into the hole to hold it up. Place in a sunny place and it should root in days.

Chillis coming out. Pretty easy farming. Plants are bigger so now we top up once every 4 days.

New owner installation. Perfect place. Not too much sun. Low maintenance. Perfect for the lazy farmer.

My dream was made into an ad in 2015. And now, it's reality.

Almost 60% of the world live in cities and nearly 100% of apartments are not designed for urban farming. So the solution is to create a simple, modular hydroponic system that can work around existing homes and architecture. In these unprecedented times, a virus quickly taxes our food supply and you need to be in control of your own. To help you do that, we need funding of $149,000, which may seem a lot. But not if we can make entire cities like Singapore, Shanghai, Berlin fertile.

OKB is a Lego-like hydroponic system designed to configure to any apartment layout. When you own a OKB, you're part of a movement to make cities fertile and self-sufficient. It helps you take care of your plants whether you are a first timer or an experienced urban farmer. It's designed to be hung on windows, balconies, corridors, and anywhere there is sun.

The success of growing plants requires lots of direct sunlight and unfortunately, you can't carry sunlight around. But you can easily move your OKB to suit your plant's needs! Just as easily, you can farm leafy herbs and vegetables from the balcony, window or corridor to your table. Yes, OKB is designed to look great even on your table! This is the stand out feature that sets OKB apart from the rest of the market. Its thoughtfully designed form follows function.

Apart from looking good, it's also serious about farming. When properly planned and rotated well, the OKB will yield enough to feed a family of four. We estimate 5 OKBs per person. That's 30 pots that you can harvest 2 plants every two days for a month continuously, for 50% of your vegetable needs. Think of it this way, two plump bok choys (or 8 for the family) every two days. Food independence at a very affordable price.
