Training up these young ones to love their crate 🐶🐾🤩

When introduced properly, crate training helps dogs learn how to switch off, settle independently, and feel secure even when life gets busy around them. It creates structure for puppies, supports toilet training, prevents unsafe behaviours when unsupervised, and gives dogs a familiar “home base” they can relax in anywhere.

The goal is never to force a dog to “deal with” the crate, but to help them genuinely love being in it. The best crate-trained dogs are the ones who willingly walk in, curl up, and choose rest on their own. ✨

The cheeky German Shepherd Dog, Echo, who loves to make me laugh during our sessions together! We work hard together, but I also cherish the moments in between when her playfulness shines through.

Those who own Schedule II dogs in Singapore are held to a seriously high standard! When we are out and about in public spaces, we work hard on their obedience reliability, muzzle training, public neutrality. They’re expected to show up like model citizens (with little room for error) in a very busy Singapore.

But at home? They should get to clock off. The same dog that’s composed in a muzzle and walking politely through crowds should still get to zoom, flop, and be a little ridiculous on the sofa! That balance, of high expectations outside and also safe space to be a goofball inside, is so important. It is what creates a dog that’s not just compliant, but truly stable and happy 🐶🤪

Dog training is always a work in progress! And we love being part of the journey every step of the way 🐾Training evolves as your pup grows, with each stage focusing on different priorities.

In the puppy phase, we emphasize on routines and boundaries, socialization, confidence building, and creating enthusiam for learning. This is when your puppy learns to know what to expect and is introduced to new environments, people, and experiences! All while learning that training is fun, rewarding, and safe.

As your dog matures, training becomes more structured. The focus shifts toward obedience and reliability, while still keeping sessions engaging! We want our dog to learn how to switch from a playful relaxed mode to a structured work mode. We aim to develop focus, responsiveness and impulse control in more distracting environments. We want our dogs to make good choices and stay attentive even when there’s a lot happening around them.

When you start training with us, you can count on us to continuously support you. We believe that training is a life long relationship and we love watching our dogs and their humans grow! 🥰

We love when our trainees are gamed to have silly moments during training! It really makes the session fun for everyone 🤪💕

Thank you, Luna, for inspiring me (Kim) to keep going in my dog training journey. For the past 4 years, your eagerness, sparkle and larger-than-life personality truly pushed me forward! You didn’t just come along for the (car) ride, you were a huge influence in shaping me as a trainer. You taught me patience, awareness and how powerful enthusiasm and connection can be!

You always trotted along with the brightest smile on pack walks and showed up by my side when you joined me in trainings as a companion or demo dog! You’ve brought so much laughter and have made me so proud 🤩

Thank you for trusting me, for showing up with so much life and for walking this path with me. Your energy, your heart and your presence are woven into my work forever! I’m endlessly grateful for you.

We’ve had so much fun together these 4 years. Til we meet again, old friend! Your memory lives on forever with Kim and K9 Kampong 🤍

“Place” is where your dog learns to be calm! It’s more than just staying still, it’s about learning how to settle.
Place means “Go here. Relax. Breathe.” This predictability helps dogs regulate instead of react.

For animal assisted activity dogs, this skill is invaluable:
- settling calmly beside patients
- staying grounded around unfamiliar environments
- offering presence without overwhelm

Calm isn’t a personality. It’s a skill, and we can teach it! 🤩 We’re having so much fun working with dog volunteers!

Consistency in dog training doesn’t start with your dog, it starts with YOU! Same rules, same expectations, same follow through every single time.

Two different dogs, same calm response. When humans show up the same way every day, dogs feel safe to cooperate and even ask for affection 💛

Mac and his family have been amazing! I was blown away by the transformation in just 3 sessions. Mac is officially Basic Obedience Certified 🤩

We are so grateful for clients like S & T, who see potential where others saw problems. When we first met, Mac was misunderstood, defensive, and wary of everything. Wearing a leash was stressful, and walks were a struggle as he couldn’t follow directions and only wanted to pull straight back home. We spent a lot of time waiting for Mac to decompress.

But his owners showed up with patience, commitment, and a willingness to do the hard work. They purposely walked at odd times to help Mac succeed. By session 3, I saw a completely transformed dog! Mac was enjoying his walks, sniffing and exploring fields, super playful and eager to work for his treats. The number of times that I went “omg I’m so proud of you all” was probably a record 😆

Thank you for giving a returned, undersocialized dog the second chance he deserved. His progress is a testament to your dedication, and it’s been an honor watching him grow with you! I’m excited for more to come 🥰
