Making money !
With my birds ?
If I really need money I go to work👍
Birds are a hobby and hobby only sure we get a return!
Some times a very good return some times a low return!
Birds are like cars motorcycles dogs most depreciate in value but it good fun owning them 👌
Any breeder that recommends you to invest is lying to you?
I recommend you buy and enjoy what ever it is you only live once as they say🐣
Visitors offtern comment here while visiting us you must have spent millions? I couldn’t honestly say what we have spent I guess a lot ?
We don’t look at our collection as $$ value we look at our collection as pets family things to enjoy !
Being very fortunate and having a very well paid job I think or look at it as a reward for my efforts!
So 100% breed birds for enjoyment satisfaction ect
Do not breed birds for $$$$$$ and returns!

Little up date before I head off for a few months!
Still producing eggs signs it slowing down a little but still going👌
Who has eggs vos, Solomon,Sun cheeks,sun conures, all ring necks high mutes,greys so here’s hoping also our alexandrines are down again most finches are now finished and heavly in to the moult!
Incubators are now off last 3 eggs hatched this week👍all oncoming chicks will be parent hatched so hoping for ood trsults🙏
Most babies are now all sold or reserved thats great,
All mature birds put up as breeders or sold now a fre more will be sold off to make room later ?
Will we open a shop ? Not sure birds are moving okay maybe? Maybe not ?
My wife and staff will be looking after things so im sure the birds will do well!
Rzcing pigeons are in lock down mode as we will race a little differently with older stronger birds ( widow hood)all birds for pattaya OLR are now fully paid so all syndicate are full we might add one or two more teams not sure yet?
For the remainder of 2025 the fans and misting systems have work very well so let’s see if the success continues ?
New additions ? A few more so we are adding to our already strong pet bird market.
What ever birds come will be posted as they are or become available 🐣
The greys finaly my best breeding hen from last year has fully recovered from her leg injury and now on her first egg👍
Other pairs are still trying there best silly a lottle young but having a go🙏

It must be good that big breeders is using it👍
No that big breeder is sponsored by the company to promote the product ( not to say the product is bad and I’m not saying it’s the best)
But this is advertising most commercial products are good these days !
Eg an incubation company supply’s incubators for free to a famous name or big farm for promotion of his or her products are they good ? They work are they the best no👌it’s just good advertising on the manufacture behalf 👍
Same goes for most feeds pellets hand rearing formula 👌

Why do you feed so little amounts of seed and fruits ?
Easy our birds get breakfast 6:30/7:30 am then treats around 12/1:00 then dinner 4:00/6:00 ( this is seed)
Fruits our birds get fruit for 2 hrs only after 2 hrs fruits and vegetables begin to spoil👍
Why fat birds don’t breed and fat birds easily or are more likely to develop health problems 👌
Even if they have chicks = yes

Medication how do you do it ?
Water= any medication is the water breaks down over time ( gets weaker) I found if I need to medicate via water we remove all water in the afternoon then medicate the birds the following morning ( worms coxy antibiotics) birds will be looking for a drink and what ever your using will be at the correct dosage 👍once I’m happy all birds have had a drink I then go to fresh water ( after all if your on medicine you don’t take it all day !
We then repeat if neededed depending on what it is ?
How ever if I get a sick bird I prefer to medicated straight to the crop ( best to be shown this technique) we also have a heated medical quarantine cage just in case 👌

NO RULES !!
There are no rules but there is good/ bad advise when it comes to breeding your birds or keeping them healthy some work some don’t?
1/ your pair BOY & GIRL need to want to breed some pairs just won’t no matter what you do ? Most will if offered a nice cage nest box good diet.
All you can do as an owner is/ keeper is try your best and that’s it 👍

Let’s have a chat👍after a 2 hr nice conversation regarding all kinds of birds got me thinking?
Some questions along the way!
1/ how long you been keeping birds= 45 years give or take.
2/ greatest achievement with birds = many.
3/ D&Rbirds why ?= why not great way to advertise also I’m always jotting things down now I just type them ? ( unfortunately my spelling has never been great).
4/ if you had to choose between parrots finches pigeons motor bike what would it be? = hopefully that day never comes.
5/ do I follow anybody ? = yes I do tony Silva I have all his books very knowledgeable individual ( liked him a lot more pre 1995) an extremely smart man / avian files another very knowledgeable individual recently Victoria parrot farm so yes I follow many.
6/ if I had to choose a favourite parrot ? = greys and asiatics I guess
7/ why breed parakeet’s= we havent sold a parakeet for years but given many away to kids.
8/ goals with birds = just enjoy them like I do now.
9/ the internet = it serves a porpoise some positive some negative.
10/ new comers = every thriving industry needs them.
11/ birds prices= we don’t make them nor do we follow them I just try to put my value on the birds.
12/ your occupation = off shore rigger scaffolder ( great way to see the world ) these days project management construction based.
13/ birds industry in general = making friends some for over 40 years some forgotten after 5 minutes.
14/ followers = I don’t have any control over it but do enjoy getting a little feed back from time to time.
15/ how or who did you learn most from = wow lots so many ask as many questions as you can even the most simple ones ( only silly questions is the one not asked)
16/ what drives you ? = not sure always loved birds.
17/ do you make good money from birds ? = define good money for 45 years it’s been a hobby some years better than others so yes a little I guess.
18/ advise for any new comers = enjoy it look at birds as a stunning creature not a $$$ figure.
19/ incubation and hand-rearing= can be very rewarding also it can be very disappointing.
20/ clubs organisations = great if that’s your thing its just not my thing.
21/ competition do you like it ?= again I have no control over it so it is what it is

Eat sleep and grow is all a chick needs to do a quite chick is the best chick 🐣 👍 to my self it is like a nice dark natural log or nest box👍
A noisey chick is a distressed chick hungry cold to hot?
Are lamps okay yes if that’s all you have its your call we only feed under a lamp👍
I will say one thing stare in to a lamp bulb for and more than 15 minutes if you can before your eyes hurt or you head begins to ache ???
