It still amazes me when you bring in birds how long it takes them to settle in and start breeding?
While birds you breed a pair on your own premises seem to do so much better also breed at a lot earlier stage. Just strange not just here in Cebu but everywhere ?

So far so good for the month of March 👍
3 pairs of greys down and sitting tight.
Alexandrine are down
Caiques are finally looking like they are now in breeding mode.
All IRN seem to be going again?
Ecelectus sitting so a little luck chicks 🐣 on the way.
We have decided to let the parents ALL incubate while we are in quarantine mode🙏( hopefully they go okay it’s a chance breeders need to take)
We have decided to upgrade the incubation room again and are waiting on a few new incubators to arrive.
After 6 months of incubation & hand rearing one needs a break good opportunity to see how our flock still on the young side go about their own eggs keeping the breeding facility quite while new additions settle in 👌
Come august sept we will get back into it full swing with new equipment and more brooders to handle more young hopefully a lot more🙏
Still have a hand full of chicks being raised so we will post them at a later date.
For all chicks waiting pick ups that will all be fine.
The new additions ? Well nothing completely new a few boys for our single girls and a few girls for our single boys 👍one or 2 new ones we will post them once settled.
Good opportunity to go check on other projects ?

Not to take on too much?
Young friend is convinced his doing everything wrong with his small bird collection.
Honestly I don’t think there is a wright or wrong way.
Millions of breeders or keepers out there all with his or her own little spin.
Some have more time than others.
Some have more or are more financially stable.
Some have luck.
Some struggle.
Just the nature of the beast.
If your birds are alive and looking well you’re probably doing well.
If your birds are dying or unwell yes you’re doing something wrong.
Important to be patient while trying your hand at any thing.
Hope you stay with it good times are sure to follow 👍

With so many inquiries regarding BHC /WBC the news is not great we only have bred enough for us? Hopefully better breeding results later ?

Syndicate birds ?
A local man asked if we sell shares in birds here?
No sorry not here every bird we have here in Cebu are 100% owned by us👍
How ever I do have syndicate birds in another country and it works 👍 great.
It’s really not a bad way to go if you cannot afford to by the birds on your own why not a syndicate?
But remember a syndicate is shares.
% of ownership.
% of keeping cost.
% of any profits made.
But with any syndicate often comes greed ?
Also arguments then lies ?
Will we ever do syndicates here at D&R ?= NO
But syndicates can and do work well for some.

D&R birds !
We are a private bird breeding facility very much restricted for room as one can see in the photos ( excuse the messy floors).
Lately we have started to get large number visitors and sorry to say we are not set up for large groups.
All our walkways are 900 wide some even 750 it’s 100% one direction here at D&R!
How ever there are some great farms zoos here in Cebu that very much cater for large groups👍
Cebu safari , milk station,Cebu sea world ect plus many more.
Our days here at D&R get pretty full on.
On any one day there are 80/120 water bowls to be cleaned also 80/120 feed bowls to be filled not to mention the fruit & vegetable bowls it’s a full time hobby here now.
Some say why do you have a sign = so people purchasing can find us with ease single or couple walk ins can find us with ease.
Unfortunately large groups for viewing we cannot accommodate and unfortunately never will.
Being a breeding facility we put all our time into breeding.
Most of what we breed are on the page how ever we only post babies available this year breeding 60+ chicks from March 2025/26 with over 70 % reserved or pre purchased never get posted as it’s our view these birds no longer belong to us but to there new owners.
Incubation from now on we will keep incubation a little more private if questions are asked we will always reply be we will not argue about incubation as so many have different techniques.
On incubation we have been asked if we are willing to offer a service ? Not sure as yet we are upgrading all our incubators this year so it’s not out of the question again this will be kept between us and the owners.
Again our pricing system we don’t have one every day we are asked this question every day it’s the same answer ? How ever we do not loose many sales so they must be okay.
Do we send birds to other islands ? Not so many but we can being a 100% legal legit WLP holder but for now most are just going to homes local here in Cebu.
Resellers = no we will not get caught up in the price war buy direct and receive the very best prices that’s how I roll so that’s how we operate 👍
We will endeavour to post more videos of the birds here but this all takes time.
Hand rearing we will always hand rear babies here we may also start supplying formulas ( proven packaged items that we use) not our own formula as that could be quite dangerous! Cost it will be fair.
This post is getting a little off track the main point is D&R birds are a private breeding facility not a bird park or amusement facility.

Funny how some breeders think they know it all !
all they do is pull eggs ?
We sure do 👍
But we always give our breeders every opportunity to have a go them selves 🙏
So maybe if those rumour spreader put time into his or her own birds they may just improve ?

We are not advertising mature greys only babies!
Even if we were to advertise any of our breeders proven they would be very high end prices ?
So no sorry we have no mature AGP available!
