Saving sight, one stitch at a time 👁✂️

A cat was rushed to Paw Prints Veterinary Clinic with an eye prolapse (eyeball popping out) from possible trauma.

During check-up, our vets found the eye still had reflex — which meant there was a chance to save it. 🙏

An emergency globe repositioning with temporary tarsorrhaphy was immediately performed. This procedure gently places the eye back and partially stitches the eyelids together to protect it while healing. ✨

⏱ In emergencies like this, quick action can mean the difference between saving or losing an eye.

✨ Successful Surgery Case: Nimbus ✨

Nimbus, a brave feline patient, recently underwent a Perineal Urethrostomy (PU) here at Paw Prints Veterinary Clinic. 🐾

A Perineal Urethrostomy is a surgical procedure commonly performed in male cats suffering from recurrent urinary blockages. In this surgery, we create a new permanent opening in the urethra, allowing urine to pass more freely. This helps prevent future life-threatening obstructions, which can be very painful and dangerous for cats.

We’re happy to share that Nimbus’ procedure was a success! 🎉 He is now on the road to recovery, and with proper post-operative care, he’ll be back to his happy, comfortable self. 💙
