CLINIC ADVISORY ❗
Pawtector Vet Clinic is issuing this statement in response to several reports and screenshots we recently received from concerned individuals regarding misleading information being shared during an online tiktok livestream involving a person identified as Jonalyn Ruiz.
Over the past few days, multiple members of the public have contacted our clinic to verify claims made in a livestream, specifically alleging that:
• A cat named “Maya” was brought to our clinic for treatment
• Our clinic allegedly refused proper care
• We did not handle the case professionally
• We issued no prescriptions
• We “ignored” the animal because it was not a pure breed
• Medical procedures were allegedly performed incorrectly
• Our clinic “mishandled” or “was afraid to touch” the injured cat
After reviewing our patient logs and medical records, we confirm that no cat named Maya belonging to Ms. Jonalyn Ruiz has ever been brought to Pawtector Vet Clinic.
Additionally, the injured white cat shown in the livestream has never been presented to our clinic for examination, treatment, or check-up.
Any statements implying that this animal received care—or was refused care—at our clinic are false and misleading.
About Ms. Jonalyn Ruiz as a client
Ms. Ruiz has previously visited the clinic for several rescued cats. These consultations were limited, and no healthy or stable rescued animals have been brought in for follow-up or completion of treatments.
However, none of these cases involve the animal she is currently showing in her livestream.
