Update 3.30pm. We are winning against the water. The kennels are clean and dry with nice dry bedding for all our boarders to snuggle into tonight. A commercial dehumidifier is set up in the groom room. The yards are still very wet, so feel free to keep your Daycare doggo at home again tomorrow if you don't want a bog dog 😂.

Update 11am. We have got large pumps cleaning out the water. All the current dogs here are fine and safe 😊

Daycare cancelled today. We are flooded. Sorry for the inconvenience

K9 Retreat Owners Grant and Sarah-lee Sisson

At K9 Retreat we offer accommodation and grooming services for your dog. From long term stays to doggy daycare and everything in-between. Our kennel accommodates up to 36 dogs in individual runs, with ample supervised time in secure outdoor paddocks to exercise, socialise, fetch and play tug with lots of love and attention from the staff.

Premium Black Hawk dog food is on the menu, and special needs can be catered for. Medication can be administered for no extra charge and love and attention is FREE. We also have on call vets for your peace of mind.

Owners Grant and Sarah-lee Sisson are lifetime locals of Whakatane and come to you with a menagerie of their own, multiple horses, dogs, chickens and 2 children. Grant and Sarah-lee love animals and can’t wait to take care of your dogs. Sarah-lee does agility with her dog Cody and is also does breed showing with him. Grant and Sarah-lee look forward to meeting you all!
