Promise had an absolute killer of a second week here 😊 This week he has been fantastic! He has flourished with a high work load and heaps of variety day to day. River crossings this morning up the farm with a cattle muster to finish💪. Hes a horse that really thrives on a lot of varied work to keep his interest. His change from week one to week two has been unreal!

Ruby is only with us for a few more days 😭
No matter how many horses come through our gates, its never easy saying goodbye. Every horse that comes to us has its own personality, quirks, and something special.
For the time they are here, they become part of our family. They are ours to care for, teach and love as our own. Watching them grow in confidence and understanding is the most rewarding part of what we do, but it also makes it incredibly hard to see them leave!
Every single horse leaves its mark on us, and Ruby will be no different. The trekking machine 🤍

A highlight from Promises work today was the first step in his water exposure. River crossings then drops in are up next for him. Hes getting braver and better, careful not to over face him, we are starting small to finish well, meaning he will go into tomorrow's step confident. All positives from him today. What a good boy ✨️

Ruby is also here for float training, as well as ridden work. She has really changed her tune with floating. No more legs flying, tantrums and rude behaviour. Although she is still young, and can have her moments, over all we are really pleased with the result of 4 weeks work from her. She has earned a rest.

Promise is into his second week, and he’s definitely been a rollercoaster of ups and downs, testing every boundary and every reaction possible. This week he is gaining some life skills and learning some healthier coping mechanisms - we all need abit of that i reckon 🤭
