We're incredibly proud to announce that Pets in the City Wairau Park is now officially SPCA Certified!
This is a huge milestone for our team and something we're genuinely excited to share with our wonderful community of pet parents.
Every day, we work incredibly hard to provide a safe, enriching and loving environment for the dogs entrusted to our care. But we also believe that maintaining high standards means being willing to have those standards independently assessed, challenged and continually improved.
That's why achieving SPCA Certification means so much to us.
Having an organisation as respected as SPCA New Zealand independently assess our operations and recognise the standards we work so hard to maintain is a fantastic endorsement of everything our team does.
More importantly, it's a reflection of our commitment to never standing still. We want to keep learning, keep improving and keep setting the benchmark for exceptional dog care.
Because when it comes to the wellbeing of the dogs in our care, good enough is never good enough.
A massive thank you to our incredible Wairau Park team for making this achievement possible, and to all our wonderful customers for trusting us with such important members of your families.
We're incredibly proud of this milestone, and even more committed to continuing to earn that trust every single day.
Thank you to SPCA New Zealand for the recognition and for the important work you do in raising animal welfare standards across our industry.
SPCA Certified is thrilled to welcome two new dog daycares! 🎉🐶
Pets In The City Wairau Park and Pets in the City Silverdale recently became SPCA Certified after going through our rigorous certification process and demonstrating that their practices meet the programme’s standards.
Both dog daycares use force-free handling methods, provide an enriching daycare experience, and balance high-energy activities (think bubble-pop parties and water play) with much-needed rest time ❤
Pets In The City CEO Layamon Bakewell says, “Becoming SPCA Certified is something our whole team is incredibly proud of. Having SPCA independently assess our operations and recognise the standards our team works so hard to maintain is a fantastic endorsement of what we’re trying to achieve.”
