Dogs Are Us Training Hi Im Kat and I am a local qualified dog trainer for the Bay of Plenty. Having spent a great deal of time there during school holidays etc..

We offer One to one dog training sessions, puppy development classes, Puppy Board and Trains, and an amazing range of treats and training products. Dogs are us is here to help dog owners better understand their relationship with their dog through education and building trust. As a child I always had a passion for animals, never being able to have our own pets when I was younger we were lucky to h

ave family who lived on a farm. I was in love, trying to drag the dogs into the house paddock where they were not allowed and the adults watching on from the window with grins on their face while the dogs though very aware this was a no go zone obliged begrudgingly. I finally got my first dog (a Bouvier) as a teen knowing next to nothing about how to train her, but wanting to take her everywhere (not an easy task at almost 80kg). It was a learning curve! Getting my next dog mixed breed from a rescue, and realizing how smart he is I didnt want to waste his potential which is when I studied with NDTF in Australia, and have continued learning with other great trainers. I bring passion to wanting to understand any problems we face as dog owners and how I can best help. With my knowledge I want others to know how building relationships with our dogs through training can only improve the bond we have with them. Through understanding how our dogs learn we can create sound obedience and a great working relationship.
