PSA ☀️ Mount Mainstreet Urban Market Closure ☀️

After much deliberation, the Mount Business Association Board has come to the decision to bring the Urban Market initiative to a close.

We appreciate that the Sunday market has been an important part of our community for some time, and have not made this decision lightly. Unfortunately, several factors are currently negatively impacting our market.

The final Mount Mainstreet Urban Market will be held on Sunday, 25 August 2024.

We hope this isn’t ‘goodbye’ but ‘see you soon’. We also want to take this opportunity to thank our community for supporting the markets on Sunday mornings, turning up in sunshine and rain, to buy from our dedicated and talented stallholders.

Every Sunday, we are lucky to have some of the best local musicians join us for our market. Tomorrow’s cool tunes are courtesy of 🎶

We will - of course - also have the regular stallholders ready with their seasonal produce and ready-made delights. That included Intoxicakes, Hank & Jackie Grocers, , .crepe, , , Rangi food truck, and .catering.

Matariki Market ✨This Sunday, join us for a special edition of your favourite market.

First off, you’ll find the matARiki Sculptural Trail in full swing. Running until 30 June, Te Tauranga Toi presents a unique and interactive experience for families and art enthusiasts alike.🤳

We also have some extra special stallholders to celebrate Matariki. That includes Arohanoa Artistry, Miss Maia Design, Lidgard Weaving and more. 🌟

Mount Mainstreet would like to invite ngā toi Māori practitioners to come down and get involved with our Matariki Market on Sunday 16 June. 🥝

*We have waived our stallholder fee, so all you need is to bring down is your set-up and your goods to sell. To qualify, the goods intended for sale must follow the theme of Matariki, be of cultural value to te ao Māori, or be fundraising for an approved charity or community organisation. For all other goods, the stallholder fee is $30.

Only a few stall spaces left!

We couldn’t agree more with Cherie Metcalfe calling out Pocket Bakery for having THE best croissants in the Bay (and that she’s ever had) in her latest article in Our Place Magazine. 🥐

The best part is you can find these delicious treats at Mount Mainstreet Urban Market on Sundays. But be quick though, they are known to sell out early!
