Recently, we had a whole truckload – well more like a ‘ute load’ – of puppies arrive at the clinic for their first vaccinations and check-ups with Vet George.

All puppies were given the all-clear, plus a few kisses and cuddles, and then off they drove 🛻💨 🐾🐾

Things to think about for your pet's care when you go away on holiday.

We hear this all the time in clinic 👇

“Oh he doesn’t need that, he’s not going into a boarding kennel…”

But the kennel cough vaccine isn’t just for dogs heading into kennels.

If your dog goes to the park, doggie day care, training classes, group walks, or anywhere they’re sniffing, greeting, or just hanging out with other dogs, they’re still at risk.

Kennel cough is highly contagious. It can spread through nose-to-nose contact, coughing, shared water bowls or toys – basically any close interaction. Infected dogs can shed the virus into the environment, and symptoms can show up anywhere from 2-14 days after exposure.

Common symptoms include a dry, hacking cough, runny nose, sneezing, and eye discharge.
