Beach Road Vet Clinic provides a comprehensive small animal service including full medical, radiographicial and surgical facilities.

We are a small clinic committed to providing an effective, affordable, personal and caring veterinary service for our clients and their owners. To achieve this we operate from premises purposefully designed with the welfare of your pet in mind. We are available to help you maintain your pets good health with pet care advice and preventative veterinary medicine. Feel free to phone the clinic during the day to make an appointment.

• Customer Service/Reception including; answering calls/emails, sales, stock control
• Assisting in consultations
• Assisting with surgical procedures including; theatre & patient prep, monitoring anesthetics, sterilizing instruments etc
• Patient monitoring and treatment
• Admit/Discharge

You will be:
• Qualified in Veterinary Nursing
• Self motivated and good at multi-tasking
• Have confidence to be an effective communicator
• Enthusiastic and compassionate
• Skilled using computers (Experience with Vision is beneficial but not essential)

Stella, a 1-year-old Bull Terrier, presented to us this morning completely lame on her front left leg, with her paw clearly swollen.
Upon examination, Vet Paul found a small yet painful lump on her 5th metacarpal.
She was admitted for xrays under sedation, which showed that she had actually fractured the 2nd Phalanx of her 5th metacarpal digit.
A carpal splint was applied, and anti-inflammatory pain relief was administered.
Here at BRVC we schedule free post-op checks to ensure progress is as expected. So, we will be seeing Stella weekly for a few weeks.
But we’re sure she won’t mind as even with a broken toe and clearly in pain, Stella is the perfect patient!

Xena came in for her annual vaccination today.
It was great to also be able to discuss her ongoing training. (Yay for her Mum!) Which is so important, especially with larger breed dogs.
Isn't she just stunning!?

UPDATE! Owner has been found. :)
We have had a black cat brought in from around 30-50 Dickson Road. She is microchipped, but not on the national database so we cannot find the owner. She has a tail injury that needs urgent care. Please get in touch on 07 542 2642 or pop in if you think she may be your cat. She has had pain relief and is comfortable for now.
