๐ A little update from the rescue ๐
We didnโt expect to be sharing this so early in the year, but life had other plans.
One of our rescue pussycats, Sandy, became suddenly very unwell and had to be rushed to the emergency vet after suffering multiple seizures (status epilepticus). He has since been diagnosed with meningitis and/or a possible brain lesion and is now back in our care, requiring 24/7 monitoring and treatment.
At the same time, our family is stretched between north and south, with Danielle still in Auckland needing support, and plans to restructure the rescue into a more manageable and sustainable setup now temporarily on hold while we focus on Sandyโs critical care.
We are doing everything we can for him and are hopeful he will pull through, but the emergency vet bills and ongoing care costs are significant.
If anyone feels able to help โ whether through a donation, sharing this post, or simply holding us in your thoughts โ it would mean more than we can express.
Every bit of support helps us keep going and continue caring for the cats who rely on us.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us and for your kindness and understanding ๐๐พ
