Stonehill gypsy cobs began with the purchase of a partbred mare who went on to produce two stunning 3/4 gypsy colts Stonehill Rafferty and Stonehill Finnegan before moving into buying our purebred mares.

For anyone that hasn’t seen our new FB page Stonehill Farm we are presently offering 2 top quality Purebred Cobs for sale.
A mare and her filly foal, available either together or separately at weaning.
GRS Punkin Pie, very pretty mare, has had 3 foals, is presently empty, been started very lightly, measured at approx 140cm (13.3 hh ) NZGCA registered, PSSM and FIS negative
Stonehill Velveteen ( rego pending ) is Punkin’s filly at foot, sired by Stonehill Barleycorn, she is a full sister to Stonehill Saffron who just competed at HOY and placed Reserve Champion youngstock. This filly has the X factor, just waiting on colour test results to come back on her. PSSM and FIS negative by parentage

So as many of you know I had to make some hard decisions last year in relation to my stud and the horses. The timing was awful as it meant I couldn’t see my dream to fruition in breeding my two home bred Roan Gypsy Cobs together “ Barleycorn & Juniper “ I really thought that part of my life had come to an end.
However as it turned out the Universe had other plans and sent me 2 Guardian Angels in a mother and daughter team “ Chanon and Emily Carroll “
They could see the love and passion that I had put into my breeding programme and wanted to continue that legacy and kindly asked that I continue the journey with them. This was a lifeline that I will be continually grateful for, to know that I can still be a big part of my horses lives and along with Chanon & Emily make important decisions for their futures.
So this leads me on to the most exciting news, Stonehill Gypsy Cobs will be rebranding to Stonehill Farm to signify this new venture.
Punkin & Velveteen have been reunited with Barleycorn & Juniper and all now reside with Chanon & Emily along with their other horses. They are in great hands and are enjoying life to the full. I look forward to an exciting future ahead working alongside them to continue everything Stonehill has always stood for
