PART TWO❤️

November has come and gone as quick as a flash ⚡️ we have had an awesome month here at The Contented Canine! We welcomed quite a few new families and kick started our secret santa 🎅🏼

The countdown is now on to Christmas (and our Christmas break!) 💆🏼‍♀️

A couple of reminders:

🐾 Secret Santa presents are due in by the 9th of December. There is still plenty of time to sign up!
🐾 We will begin handing out the presents from the 16th of December. 🎁
🐾 Our last day for the year will be Friday the 19th of December 🎉

November has come and gone as quick as a flash ⚡️ we have had an awesome month here at The Contented Canine! We welcomed quite a few new families and kick started our secret santa 🎅🏼

We have heard a few little rumours floating around about The Contented Canine, so we thought it was the perfect time for an update 🐾

It is very much business as usual at TCC in Nelson. We will be taking our usual Christmas and New Year break 🎄✨ and our full team will be back, ready for more daycare fun in 2026.

Over at 107 Appleby Highway, things are ticking along nicely for our Canine Country Club 🌿 You may have spotted some progress recently… the carpark has been expanded, and the old garden bar is beginning its transformation into our All-Weather Play Pavilion 🚧🏗️

We are also currently exploring options for our Canine Country Club school bus service 🚌🐾 and will keep you updated as plans progress.

Thank you for being on this journey with us. We are so excited for what is ahead in 2026 and cannot wait to share more progress with you soon 💕🌿

About Us...

Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I have always had at least one of my own, usually more. Even while flatting at University I couldn’t be without a dog and adopted a wee rescue. I love all dogs and have owned a wide range of breeds from Bullmastiff to Brussels Griffon.

In 2004 after qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse I began working at a local vet clinic where I gained valuable practical experience and was given the responsibly of running their puppy preschool classes. This reinforced that my real passion was dogs and I continued to do more courses & seminars relating to Canine Behaviour & Training.

A few years later with the encouragement of many clients, I established and built a successful Luxury Boarding Kennels on the outskirts of Wakefield (The Canine Retreat). I enjoyed running the kennels for several years and a lot of regular guests became a big part of my life. It was a very hard decision to sell the business but by then we had two young kids and one more on the way.

Our kids are now older and once again I’m loving working full time on building a business I’m passionate about, The Contented Canine.
