Take a peek at some recent snapshots from the past couple of weeks, featuring the amazing dogs and humans I’ve been lucky enough to work with.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with a great mix of dogs and their humans, including Schnauzers, Doodles, a Ridgeback cross, Frenchie, Border Terrier, Poodle, and more.
From Puppy Day Stay & Train programmes and one on one owner coaching, through to working with my regulars like Mr Frank the English Staffy on his off leash skills, no two days are ever the same.
Different breeds, different personalities, different goals, but all working towards the same thing… raising the dog you want for life.

Loved working with these cool dogs and their equally amazing humans! From basic foundations, loose leash walking environmental training and cementing rules, boundaries within the home.

Warning … snail bait kills snails and dogs.. be mindful what you have in your garden. Spoiler alert … this does have a good ending… but it might not have.

Puppy fix achieved 😍

So good catching up with Kylie from Bkkennels NZ and spending time with Nova’s beautiful litter of XL Bully pups now 5 weeks old.

I’ve worked with Kylie over time through sessions with Nova, the mother of this litter, and also Lilo who’s now 18 months old. We even did a small group class together with her and Frank the Tank 😉

A total of 5 puppies in the litter and there’s currently one boy, possibly two available for their forever homes… that’s if the breeder doesn’t decide to keep him herself 😉

The personalities are already starting to shine through and I’m sure these pups won’t last long.

Tug is one of my favourite games to play with a dog… and not just for training.

For me, it starts with building the relationship first.

Yes, we use structured tug to build engagement, impulse control, and communication… but this right here… this is just play.

No expectations. Just me fully in it with him.

I’m running, he’s chasing… then we switch… and it becomes this back and forward between us.

Even when it’s just a game, we’re still respecting the rules… that’s what keeps it clear and enjoyable.

And this is what transfers.

Out on walks, in public… he’s engaged, checking in… looking at me like, “are you ready?”

Because to him… I’m the game.

And when you become the game… everything changes.
