LARINO, a Grand Prix showjumper in his own right, is a son of the sport horse producer of the 21st century, Olympic CONCORDE. Concorde already has a great number of progeny that perform at international level. Larino has in his pedigree four famous and successful showjumper producers. Larino‘s dam Erina is a daughter of the famous Ramiro offspring, Armstrong. In the report the KWPN judge made, she is described as a very nice mare with a lot of expression.✨
Under Peter Geerink, LARINO became a successful Grand Prix jumper with a very good foreleg technique and a very good use of the back. He placed second in The Hague, finished second and third in Valkenswaard and posted various other fantastic clear rounds at Grand Prix Level. LARINO also won the VHO Trophy competition in 2003. 🏆

Lady Tamsin is a striking filly with an excellent jump and expressive natural movements. She has a kind and honest temperament, jumps everything in front of her and is very reliable. With her smart brain and willing attitude, she picks up new challenges quickly, making every training session a pleasure.

Lady had her very first outing at the local practise jumping day last month and she tackled every fence with confidence and a fantastic attitude!
Schooling at 1m at home but has plenty of ability to be taken through the classes.

Lady has lots of hacking experience (on her own as well as with other horses), loves playing in water and is very reliable. She has been hacked through sheep and cattle and will go everywhere with a confident rider.
She would be an ultimate first hack for someone coming off ponies to take through to junior rider and beyond.
She has absolutely no dirt and with her kind and calm nature she is a lovely horse to have around.

Good to clip, wash, float, catch, etc.

Update on Beircheart LS - one of the favourite ponies of many people from the auction 🤎✨

Over a year ago, Beircheart went up North in partnership, but it quickly became apparent that something was not right with him. It was assumed he had stomach ulcers and so he headed of to other friends for treatment and to bring him back into work.
When little improvement was made and his behaviour was still very different from the pony we knew, we made the decision to bring him home to Longspring. 🙏🏼
While up North, it was noted that he had developed an indent in his rump and some muscle spasms. After coming home, we turned him out on the paddock for some time to settle after his travels.

When he was brought back into work, we noticed he was dragging his right hind leg - the same side as the previous indent. The vet was called and, although his dragging wasn’t painful, he was mechanically unsound, so the decision was made to do an ultrasound that showed some degeneration in his hip joint.😢
As treatment he had a hip joint injection a couple of weeks ago, as you can see in some of the photos. 💉🩺
Now Beircheart is back in work and we‘re very happy that he has made significant improvement and is feeling great and relaxed under saddle again!!🥰 We‘re open to opportunities for Beir‘s successful future competition career! ☺️🚀

Sadly, last week we lost one of our weanlings.❤️‍🩹🕊️
He was found first thing in the morning showing signs of severe colic, which had likely been developing throughout the night.😢 Thankfully, our amazing vet, Pip, was able to come out quickly to assess him and provide the necessary meds and pain relief.
After the initial examination, Pip recommended an ultrasound to determine whether this was a catastrophic event and help us make the best treatment plan decision for him. While no large quantities of free fluid were seen (indication of a rupture) we were able to quickly confirm a severe intussusception was the cause of the colic, where one section of the intestine telescopes into another. Sadly, the damage was extensive, and with that diagnosis, we made the difficult but humane decision to let him go.💔
Out of both interest and a desire to learn, we later performed a necropsy to better understand the extent of the damage to his bowel. While heartbreaking, it was incredibly educational to see the intussusception and the impact it had caused.

Losing young horses is never easy, but every case teaches us something that may help us recognise and understand these conditions in the future. 🤎🤍
