Kora is a very lucky girl!
Her owners are great dog owners, she has 3 well trained siblings and has a wonderful life ahead.
This video is not us training her, Dylan and Georgie don't need help with that. This is good dog owners planning ahead and us being able to prepare her so that she gets the very best of her stays with us.
This afternoon I spent half 25 minutes introducing her to cattle. Her first reaction was to bolt home. With Nelson's help and a bit of patience, we learnt that noisy cattle are not a threat, and if we don't bother them, they leave us alone too.

Hot weather!!!!
Over the last week or so, the topic of hot weather has come up many times. With summer now here, and already temperatures are up around the 30⁰C, its super important to consider your dogs.
We are lucky, planning around dogs is our job. Walking is done as early as possible, and in the shade when needed. Day time exercise is limited to the shade of the play pen or the back end of the garden seen here. You'll possibly have noticed a lack of swimming this year. At the moment we are staying away until we get a bit more rain to freshen them up.
We have paddling pools in the 3 play pens so the dogs can cool off when they want to, thermometers in every block and pen and are constantly monitoring.

Today is all about Kora, the Rotty pup.
She's relatively new to her family, and a little shy at first. She's here with her big brother and sister to build her confidence, socialise and get used to being a cadet.
Already, on just her second visit we can see a jump. A bit of time with a really nice mixed breed/sex/age/energy group and in the afternoon we will head out with Nelson to see some livestock.
