🌸 A little sea of lavender!

Sea lavender is starting to pop up around the farm, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Available in so many beautiful colours, these gorgeous flowers are not only lovely in a vase but also last wonderfully as dried flowers. 💐

You’ll soon find them making their way into our farm shop bouquets, with plenty more to look forward to when our Pick Your Own Flowers opens this summer!

Growing kai while we grow our community!!

Today, we want to give a special shout-out to Silvia, one of our wonderful volunteers here at Earth Stewards. 💚

We are so thankful for the time, energy and care she brings to our farm and the work we do. Every helping hand makes a difference, and we feel incredibly grateful for Silvia and every member of our community who chooses to be part of growing kai with us.

At Earth Stewards, we believe that growing food is about so much more than what ends up on our plates. It’s about connection, sharing knowledge, caring for our whenua and creating a community where we can all learn from one another.

Whether you’re interested in volunteering in our gardens, joining a workshop, visiting our farm shop or simply learning more about growing your own kai, there is a place for you here. 🌿

We welcome new faces, fresh ideas and curious minds. You don’t need to know everything before you start. Sometimes, the best way to learn is to get your hands in the soil and grow together.

Let’s empower one another, share what we know, learn what we don’t and nurture a community that grows good food and good connections. 🌱

Saturday mornings at Earth Stewards!

We have some exciting news to share with our community! 🌱

From the first week of November, our farm shop will be open every Saturday from 9am to 12:30pm, making it easier for working whānau to access affordable, certified organic kai.

Whether you’re stocking up for the week, picking up fresh seasonal produce or simply popping in to say hello, we’d love to see you!

We’re looking forward to welcoming more of our community through the farm gates and sharing the goodness of our whenua with you. 💚

What’s happening with the flowers at Earth Stewards? 🌸

We checked in with Taylor last week to see what’s happening in the flower gardens. What is growing, what’s coming into flower, and what we can look forward to over the coming weeks.

Growing flowers for our Farm Shop is a seasonal process, and the gardens are always changing as different varieties come into bloom. We’ll be sharing more from the flower gardens as the season unfolds.

October brings beautiful greens! 🌱

As spring unfolds here in Aotearoa, New Zealand, we welcome the warmer days, fresh growth, and the promise of a bountiful summer ahead. We’re grateful for all the nourishment winter has provided, allowing the soil to rest and replenish, ready to support new life and abundant harvests.

There’s something special about this time of year, the fresh greens, the longer days, and the feeling of renewal all around us. A beautiful reminder to honour the seasons, nurture the land, and celebrate the abundance that nature continues to provide. 💚🌿
