Did you know that dogs require approximately 12-14 hours of sleep per day?! A sleepy pup is often a healthy sign and taking regular naps especially during a fun filled daycare day is always encouraged!
Moo Moo and Gemma B decided to nap together today and not long after these photos were taken, I found them curled up even closer….practically snoring 😴

🤨 Friendly or otherwise? Let’s talk about it!

As a doggy daycare we see so many types of play. Sometimes for the average Joe it can be hard to decipher what is play and what isn’t.
In this Picture you can see a Staffy mix face grabbing. In this context these two pups are best friends!
Moo Moo grabs and lets go without punctuation and with a soft mouth instead of a bite! Maisie-Blue the Viszla opens her mouth in response and shortly after mirrored this same action on Moo Moo! Play that is mirrored where a dog is not constantly the one on top or ‘turns’ are taken, is something we really like to encourage. When energy gets too high we call away the dogs with a distraction as to not let things escalate.
Our Job as Dog handlers is to observe peaceful and friendly play and redirect dogs that may still be learning boundaries on play styles.
Well done Moo Moo and Maisie-Blue for your body language reading with eachother! 💕
