We have reported on this important issue before - here is the latest update from the FDA on their investigation into jerky treats predominantly made in CHINA. If you aren't already aware of this issue we urge you to read up about it and take care when choosing treats for your pets.

This is a post that was shared to me today. Please read as it highlights the dangers of feeding your dogs food with unknown origins, in this case China. This is a uk post but we should check origins of our treats in nz too - don't give your dog's any food bought in i.e beef jerky,dog treats etc made in China. Vet has had to put 2 dogs down in last 2 weeks as they are injected with something that destroys their kidneys! vet has put a report in but may take time to have stuff removed from shelves. tell everyone you know with a dog.
