10am to 12pm
Either bring your own pony or hire one of our school ponys .
Adults and kids welcome
1. Fastest Round the World Challenge -
a. - regular way
b. - hands on head
c.- arms folded

2. Tissue paper Challenge-
Walk/ trot/ canter and pop over a small jump with a piece of tissue paper held by your knees against the saddle.

3. Cup of water Challenge
Jump over 5 little jumps carrying a cup of water in one hand. Most water left in cup wins.
a. - poles on ground
b.- 20/30cm jumps

We are now half way through our Winter Combined Training Series. There is still time to come to the last 3 shows and still gain enough points to be in the Finale placings with great prizes up for grabs

Some Exciting News for West Wind Equestrian .
TO ALL YOU KEEN EVENTERS OUT THERE.
We have been asked to help with the Laura Collett clinics at Taupo NEC in Jan 2026. ( dates tbc but possibly around 12th to 16th ). I will need aprox 6 to 10 volunteers to help put up showjumps and pick up poles during the clinics.
In return you will be able to listen and watch the lessons close up. ( spectators are being charged $90/person ). There will be time allowed in the evenings for our group to have a Q&A session with Laura ( without any adults butting in ) . Sweatshirts will also be available to purchase ( thought we might fundraiser for those so everyone gets one ). If I can get some sponsors etc then this opportunity might be available at very little cost. If not then it will still be a very cheap way of watching and listening to one of the top Eventers in the world.

Lessons with Laura cost $560 at the clinic. Some spots will be available for our volunteers if they wish to ride aswell.

Reminder - Chase Me Charlie ( Tip and Out )
Wednesday 2nd July
10am to 12pm
Class 1 will be from poles on the ground up to 50cms.
Class 2 will be from 50cms upwards. For both classes there will be one practise jump and then the main jump.
School ponies can be hired for this event if some of my students want to give it a go.
$10 entry fee + $15 ground fee
School pony hire $25
Recycled Ribbons and prizes to be won

RUG RUMMAGE - over a period of time we have acquired lots of different rugs ( winter rugs/dooners/ fleeces etc ). All shapes and sizes. We have decided to put together all the rugs that need slight repairs doing and offer them for $15+/ rug depending on type ( max price $30 ). We can recommend Topline Equestrian for all rug repairs and can supply you with Hayley Oldfield contact number.
The rugs might have a strap missing or a small rip/tear.
First come first served - shop open Sat and Sundays.
