This Fallow buck A=175 x C=19" is a great universal size and in addition to the straight illustrated I have sculptured it in offset left and right, wall pedestal left and right and sneak.wall pedestal extreme turn but still with good antler clearance. QUESTION: which of these would you like to get into production first? ie what has this year clients requested. All replies posted enter into draw free replacement noses for there first order.

How does Tearmender work? 1. Apply adhesive 2. Apply patch, I like to use leather from shaving on inner ear and baby wipes on outer ear. Its just like repairing a bike puncher.

Modelling Ear Butts onto Manikins. When we sculpt a new mannikin, the earliers along with earbutts, replacement nose and glass eyes are installed to ensure that everything is working correctly. The question then is what muscle to keep when the ears are removed. I do not know what type of ear the taxidermist prefers. Pre-modelled ear butts work best when they are:
✔ Softly sculpted
✔ Slightly underbuilt
✔ Designed to be adjusted, not forced
High-end results still depend on custom fitting with clay, regardless of the base form.
Design outcome: Therefore its important that versatility is built in most of ear butts on the form, this allows for positive fit for plastic earliners while providing ease of use if you prefer the bondo method.

New Mannikin Alert. A=245mm C=27. Upright straight. This small faced large body frame with average swell neck (March-April) stag was originally sculptured by Dennis Collins for Otago bloodlines but would also work for other regions wild deer. Standby for other stag form collaborations.

Common mannikin measurements:
As I rarely get the skin on the animal and often skins are salted I prefer to measure all circumferences once the skin is shaved and tanned.

And oldie but a goodie. This A=260mm x 26" neck stag has its origins 25 years ago. I have mounted more stags on this than any other form. I have also sold a fair few. Now deer have not changed so this form still mounts up well. Like any form you got to match it to right deer. That's why we offer free advice.
