I was 12yrs old when I got my first pony, brought for me by my lovely grandparents.

NZ Pony Club qualified coach teaching group lessons after school on super-safe riding school ponies, lessons taught using a balance of fun and structure with rider safety being paramount. I was lucky as a young rider for my mother to value good riding tuition and I went to a variety of excellent coaches on a regular basis. Pony Club, Ribbon Days and One Day events followed

venting was my main passion, with success, fun and friendships along the way. I fell into teaching by luck at a local riding school here in Cambridge. During this time as Head Coach I helped the business reach the highest target of clients at their 5th year of being open and this is something I am very proud of. It was there I started my NZ Pony Club coaching qualifications and joining coaching clinics. What I offer here at Overdale Riding Centre is a unique experience of pure riding. Keeping it real helps riders understand working hard to ride can be hugely rewarding. What I see in my riders is a boost in confidence, increase in self esetem and a feeling of empowerment. I often get told by parents of the riders that this increased confidence crosses over to other areas of the riders life in school and social situations. Being intuitive helps me know when the riders are ready to push for more or when to wait for a better time. I find the riders learn to trust me quickly which encourages them to strive, set and achieve goals

I enjoy getting to know the parents and riders on a more personal level and this creates a community vibe at Overdale, where everyone is encouraging and helpful to others. Safety is paramount at Overdale and being a NZ Pony Club qualified coach means following the NZPCA curriculum for safety procedures while riding and handling our pony. And lets not forget my wonderful herd of safe children's schoolmaster ponies. Each pony offers something different to learn in the safest possible way. All have been owned and competed by children prior to purchase. I am so proud to have each of them as part of my team. I hope to see you in the saddle soon;_-)

Includes one group lesson at a discounted rate or further discounts for two lessons per week. Assistance with feeding and rug changes available for an additional fee. QUALIFIED PONY CLUB INSTRUCTOR Overdale Riding Centre specializes in teaching children riding following the NZ Pony Club method. NZPC has been going since the 1940s and has developed a method that is renown for safety and is specifically designed for children. Head Instructor Trudy Lyles is NZ Pony Club Qualified & known as a instructor who instils confidence.

Parenga Pony Club onsite using Overdale Ponies or bring your own pony . Weekly 1.5h classes with riding & horsemanship.
