Sharing with you all a project we have been working on… German Yellow Cobra Guppies
The distinct blue and yellow colourings with a patterned twist.
✨One day we noticed that one of the baby german yellows in the grow out tank looked slightly different than the others.
We quickly removed the young fish to a different tank. But we were curious so we kept him… as he grew his colours/patterns got more interesting.
We havent seen any others like him since.
Our next step was to introduce him to some ladys (German yellow).
✨The results of their fry: gen 2 first lot babies born.
Out of four males, three had the same patterns as their father. Some of the females also had patterns in this gen.
They aren’t fully grown yet so it will be exciting to see how they look in a few months time. Also looking forward to seeing gen 3.
✨The first picture below is of the original male and the others are of young gen 2. They will develop more over time.
