We have now handed all work over to new farriers have passed numbers/given out theirs.
We no longer have a work phone that has been handed over. We no longer will responding to messages unless it’s to do with invoices (at least till we are other other side)

Hi everyone. We have news! We are moving to Australia in about 5weeks. Will give an exact date soon as we book tickets. Have a couple farriers numbers for you to try, so please message the page if you would like them for when we leave.

Hi everyone. Just a reminder yes I do try to rebook everyone in for next shoeing/trim after each visit. However please consider these ARE your horses an YOUR responsibility to keep on track NOT ours! If you have not heard from me please message as things do change as Paul is busy plus does races meetings TBs an Trotts and we have a 6mth old baby.

NOTE! We are fully booked out now (Do have space for odd one) but this means we cannot always just “fit” you in. If we can we will but this is why you need to make sure your horse is up to date and on track.

This foundational skill requires practice, practice and more PRACTICE!

✅ Safer!
✅ Less stress for the horse, farrier and owner
✅ More efficient hoof care
✅ Earlier detection of discomfort and proactive management

🐴 Set the environment up for success:
✅ Shoeing area should be clean, dry, level, with good lighting and enough space to move
✅ Free from distractions. Avoid busy times like feeding and turn out times. Free range children, animals and friends with a pocket full of polos should be kept out of the way
✅ Manage the flies!
✅ Have a buddy horse nearby (temperament dependent)
✅ Get the horse moving before the appointment. Exercise to loosen off muscles and burn excess energy. Turn out if you can clean and dry legs in time
✅ Use appropriate restraint if necessary. Talk the options through with your farrier which could include holding the horse, cross ties, Horslyx to reward standing still or sedation

Hey everyone! New month, new start! Fingers crossed! Ute was fixed & serviced while we were away so back to it now!

If coming up due or over due get in touch if haven’t heard from us an we will start working through list.

We will be unavailable from 21st-30th of June. This means we will not be responding to messages or txts until we are back.
We are taking much needed time off the first for both of us in a very long time.
Specially since we have had a few mechanical issues and moving house. Here’s to a good start of July.

For those who do not know! Paul was kicked in the back Tuesday last week. We are thankful it wasnt really bad but he was still sore. So sorry if we are running behind as that knocked him out work for 4days
Also we have a 5mth old who is starting teething an sometimes I/we may miss things, or forget so sorry about that it’s not in purpose!
