This week Juno started her first ever laser therapy session with Dr Karli from Tui Pet Rehab after she showed new signs of back pain.
Even though she was in a new room with a new person and a new feeling from the laser, she could still use her chin rest to tell us when to start and stop. The more she was listened to, the quicker she consented to the whole procedure. Cooperative care for the win!

Fun games are useful for helping meet your dogs needs at home. A walk isn't always required or wanted, but learning something new will build communication, build bonds and help tire them out in a fun way. Here Juno is leaning the spatula trick I keep seeing, we place a treat on the handle, she has to knock it so the treat flies up, then catch it.

Mars is a beautiful, fun loving boy who just wants to excitedly greet everyone, all visitors, passers by and the cats.
We helped him learn new skills that helped him learn to offer a new hello to people, we practiced calm feelings along with the cat, and also helped him learn to relax when people in the house relax so he can hang out with them more. Part of his journey included meeting his needs so he could engage more calmly as well as cope better when he was alone.
