'Haachi' of Saku Lama, actually hates getting his vaccines, however over the years this annual event is becoming less and less stressful (for us all) as he is learning to trust us, and his owner Saku is also learning to be braver.. these days his visits are very smooth.👏🙏🌞
He does, however, have no problem posing for his photo😜

We can't believe that we haven't posted a photo of 'Coco' Chettri until now!!
'Coco' is one of our most regular patients, and he is TRULY our HERO canine.
At eleven years old, life has been a challenge for him, from urinary blockages and heart disease, he continuously needs medical care...BUT....he is doing extremely well.
And every time we meet him, we are reminded what a little MIRACLE he is.
Of course, 'Coco' would not be doing so well if he didn't get all the CARE and LOVE he gets from home.❤️💐🐶

'Iggy', as in Iggy from Iggy Pop, on being discharged from hospital yesterday. See his little shaved patch on his right front leg...that is for his IV fluids and anaesthetic administration. He hardly looks like he is recovering from surgery!!! Happy boy 🐶

This is 'Riuko'. While her owners were away, her very observant carer noticed that her eyes had changed colour. And immediately brought 'Riuko' to us . This is called uveitis, and many things can cause uveitis in dogs. Her bloods were taken, and she is currently on medication for systemic infection and doing very very well.
If her carer did not act so promptly, this story could have had a very sad ending. Eyes are the windows to our health. If you ever notice any changes in your dogs eyes, seek veterinary attention immediately.

Best Friends Veterinary Hospital was founded by Head Veterinarian Dr Michelle Connolly in 2018.

Dr Michelle Connolly is a well-respected veterinarian who has been practising veterinary medicine for over 15 years. She studied at University College Dublin School of Veterinary Medicine in Ireland and has worked across Africa and Asia teaching veterinary students and treating animals in need.
