World Camel Day 2026 🐫🏜️| June 22, 2026_

"Resilience in the Desert, Responsibility on Us"

Camels are more than the “Ships of the Desert”. For thousands of years they’ve carried cargo, provided milk, wool & leather, and sustained communities in the harshest climates on Earth. They can survive months without water and handle temperature swings from -40°C to +40°C.

But resilience doesn’t mean invincible. Wild Bactrian camels are now critically endangered with only ∼1,000 left in China & Mongolia. Climate change, habitat loss, and declining populations threaten even domestic camels.

IVSA Paklihawa’s Commitment:
As future vets, we celebrate camels for their role in food security, transport, and desert ecosystems. This World Camel Day, we raise awareness about camel welfare, sustainable pastoralism, and conserving their wild cousins. Protecting camels means protecting livelihoods, culture, and climate-resilient livestock systems.

This June 22, let’s give them the recognition they deserve.
Because every hump tells a story of survival.

World Giraffe Day 2026

Theme: “Stretch Your Neck for Conservation”
Celebrating the world’s tallest animal on the longest day of the year 2026.

From the savannas of Africa to our classrooms in Paklihawa, giraffes remind us how interconnected life is. But here’s the truth: wild giraffe populations have dropped by almost 40% in the last 30 years due to poaching, habitat loss, and human-wildlife conflict.

Our Motive for 2026:
Raise awareness. Protect habitats. Support research.
IVSA Paklihawa believes every future vet has a role in biodiversity conservation. Giraffes may not roam Nepal, but their fight is our fight too. Through education, advocacy, and community action, we can stand tall for species that can’t speak for themselves.

This June 21, let’s raise our necks, raise our voices, and raise awareness.
Because conservation starts with knowing, and knowing starts with caring.
