Ravello van de Hagenhorst (Dourkhan Hero Z x Denzel van ’t Meulenhof) is an elegant KWPN stallion who caught the eye at the 2025 stallion inspection with his excellent jumping technique, quick reflexes, and beautiful canter. He earned his invitation to the performance test, where he confirmed his rideability, willingness to work, and natural scope.

His sire Dourkhan Hero Z competed at 1.60m level with Christian Ahlmann, while on the dam’s side Ravello comes from the renowned Holsteiner damline 104a, known for producing top-level sport horses.

With his talent, attitude, and strong pedigree, Ravello is a promising stallion for the future. ✨

✨ Great news from the KWPN Stallion Selection! ✨
Detroit van de Hagenhorst has been selected for the 2nd inspection of the KWPN Stallion Approval.

This promising young stallion is a son of our own Defender Z, out of a Calido I dam and is bred by Hagenhorst Horses. We are very proud to see Detroit continue on to the next stage of the selection process.
