KWPN hengst Pjethro (v. Kjento) verkocht naar de USA
Zeer recent is de bij meerdere stamboeken gekeurde KWPN hengst Pjethro (Kjento uit Jaomie elite IBOP-dres D-OC van Desperado, fokker A.J. Beerens uit De Moer) verkocht naar de USA.
Door deze onlangs afgeronde verkoop en de op handen zijnde export zal Pjethro niet deelnemen aan het WK jonge dressuurpaarden in Verden.
De super getalenteerde Pjethro, die onder Lottie Fry zijn talenten liet zien (2de Pavo Cup 2025, 3x hengstencompetitie winnaar seizoen 2025/2026) is verkocht aan het echtpaar Fritz en Claudine Kundrun.
Naast zijn super sportkwaliteiten maakt Pjethro ook indruk met zijn nafok.
Bij de verkoop is overeengekomen dat de gehele voorraad diepvriessperma in eigendom blijft van Van Olst Horses, zodat Pjethro via Van Olst Horses beschikbaar blijft voor de Europese fokkerij.

KWPN stallion Pjethro (by Kjento) sold to the USA
Very recently, the KWPN stallion Pjethro (Kjento out of Jaomie elite IBOP-dress D-OC by Desperado, breeder A.J. Beerens, De Moer), approved by multiple studbooks, was sold to the USA.
Due to this recently completed sale and the impending export, Pjethro will not participate in the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden.
The super talented Pjethro, who demonstrated his talents under Lottie Fry (2nd Pavo Cup 2025, 3x stallion competition winner season 2025/2026), has been sold to the couple Fritz and Claudine Kundrun.
In addition to his superb sporting qualities, Pjethro also impresses with his offspring. It was agreed in the sale that the entire stock of frozen semen remains the property of Van Olst Horses, so that Pjethro remains available to European breeding through Van Olst Horses.

Kjento scores 3 times with offspring from Nanny McPhee at SK Kootwijkerbroek: 85/90, 85/85 and 80/80Source: KWPN/Horses

In 2023, Judith Ribbels and Patrick Reesink bred three mares by Kjento out of the Light Tour mare Nanny McPhee (elite IBOP-dress sport-dress PROK by Vitalis): Tutto Bene, Tsarina, and Tiptop. Yesterday, those mares received provisional approval at the studbook inspection at Marcel and Tamara van Manen's in Kootwijkerbroek with scores of 85/90 (the highest score so far this year), 85/85, and 80/80 respectively.

Tutto Bene was the star attraction in Kootwijkerbroek with 85/90 and holds (so far, with two studbook inspections still to go) the highest score of the year. “This is a very striking, strongly modeled mare of 1.74m who is well-proportioned. She has a particularly beautiful forehand, a strong topline, and a lot of presence. She moves with great impulsion, shoulder freedom, carriage, and balance. In both trot and canter, she clearly moves uphill,” explains Wim. She received 95 points for her conformation, in addition to 90 for both trot and canter. With this, Tutto Bene immediately puts herself forward as a candidate for the NMK, for which she can be officially selected via the Region East breeding day on August 1st.

The Glamourdale daughter F-Grace St. has been crowned champion among the six-year-old dressage horses at the DSP Landeschampionat Bayern. The mare thereby retained her title from last year. Two years ago, in 2024, she was already crowned overall champion at the DSP Staatsprämienschau.

F-Grace St. was bred by Alois Steidl out of Fabienne (Fürstenball x Diamond Hit). In combination with Dream Boy, this mare previously produced the DSP-premiumed Datejust.
Under Ralf Kornprobst, F-Grace St. dominated the class for six-year-olds with an impressive average score of 8.86. Thanks to her title, the mare is now allowed to use the prefix DSP.

Invloedrijke merrielijnen bewezen op de Oldenburger Landeschampionate in Höven opnieuw hun waarde. Verschillende dressuurkampioenen en podiumpaarden stammen uit families die al generaties lang toppaarden voortbrengen. Ook de Nederlandse fokkerij was via onder meer Kjento op het podium vertegenwoordigd.
KWPN-hengst Kjento tekende met Nexolia Kyniska (mv. Vivaldi) voor de nummer drie bij de driejarige merries en ruinen. Onder Jessica Lynn-Thomas behaalde de merrie een 8,3 gemiddeld, waarbij vooral de Rittigkeit indruk maakte. Voor dat onderdeel ontving ze een 9,0.
Nexolia Kyniska is een volle zus van Keaton, die in 2024 als tweejarige de absolute veilingtopper was op de Blue Hors Youngster Auction. De hengst bracht daar 62.000 euro op. Uit dezelfde moeder komt in combinatie met Bonds bovendien een voor het KWPN Verrichtingsonderzoek aangewezen hengst voort.

Influential mare lines once again proved their worth at the Oldenburg State Championship in Höven. Several dressage champions and podium horses come from families that have been producing top horses for generations. Dutch breeding was also represented on the podium through Kjento, among others.

KWPN stallion Kjento took third place among the three-year-old mares and geldings with Nexolia Kyniska (out of Vivaldi). Under Jessica Lynn-Thomas, the mare achieved an average of 8.3, with Rideability making a particularly strong impression. She received a 9.0 for that component.

Nexolia Kyniska is a full sister to Keaton, who was the absolute top seller as a two-year-old at the Blue Hors Youngster Auction in 2024. The stallion fetched 62,000 euros there. Furthermore, a stallion selected for the KWPN Performance Test has emerged from the same dam in combination with Bonds.

IBOP Sonnega: 91.5 points for Kjento daughter Sweet Seven

Henk Rootveld’s four-year-old Kjento daughter Sweet Seven was the standout performer today at the IBOP in Sonnega. This extremely talented mare passed with the top score of 91.5 points.
Inspector Wim Versteeg and Henk Dirksen assessed 16 dressage horses at the IBOP in Sonnega today, 14 of which passed.

A real Top Talent
The four-year-old NMK mare Sweet Seven (Kjento out of the Light Tour mare Up Seven STV keur sport-dres by OO Seven), bred by H. Rootveld from Winterswijk Meddo, showed a fantastic performance under Bart Veeze. She received a 9.5 for trot, canter, suppleness, and posture & balance, in addition to a 9 for aptitude as a dressage horse, and as a result, she was immediately promoted to elite status. “This is truly a very striking horse and she was presented very well. She walks cleanly, spaciously, with composure and a good overstep. Her trot is exceptional, with appealing foreleg technique and very good hind leg use. She can already shift gears very well in this gait and achieve carrying capacity. Her canter is uphill and impressive, with great power and good carriage. Truly a mare from whom much can be expected for the upcoming Pavo Cup,” says Wim Versteeg.

Sadie Smith and our extremely talented 6 year stallion Pjethro during the final Young Dressage Horses selection 🤩

Door het gelijk op elkaar volgende WK in Aken (Charlotte Fry - Glamourdale) en het WK dressuur jonge paarden in Verden, heeft Lottie de teugels van de hengsten Real Dream, Renzo en Pjethro overgegeven aan Sadie Smith.

Sadie reed de drie hengsten tijdens de 3e en laatste selectieronde, en selecteerde zich bij de vijfjarigen met Real Dream en kreeg Renzo als haar eigen reservepaard aangewezen. Bij de zesjarigen is Pjethro aangewezen als 1e reserve.

Van Olst Horses is trots op de goede samenwerking tussen de beide amazones. We wensen Lottie heel veel succes op het WK in Aken en Sadie heel veel succes in Verden.

With the World Championships in Aachen (Charlotte Fry – Glamourdale) and the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden taking place in quick succession, Lottie has handed over the reins of the stallions Real Dream, Renzo and Pjethro to Sadie Smith.

Sadie rode the three stallions during the third and final selection round, qualifying with Real Dream in the five-year-olds and being assigned Renzo as her own reserve horse. In the six-year-olds, Pjethro has been designated as first reserve.

Van Olst Horses is proud of the excellent collaboration between the two riders. We wish Lottie every success at the World Championships in Aachen and Sadie every success in Verden.
