This milestone comes together during the Captain Calla Days 2026, where our breeding and showcase greenhouse presents new and proven Captain Calla genetics for pot and cut flower production, including the latest trial results and future breeding developments 🌱

Op woensdag 20 mei organiseerden we samen met CNB een geslaagde kwekersbijeenkomst. Ruim 70 kwekers, broeiers en toeleveranciers bezochten de volbloeiende proefkas met calla’s 🪴

Aansluitend gaven Wouter de Vries en Sonny de Leeuw een inspirerende presentatie, waarin zij op energieke wijze hun ervaringen en inzichten over A.I. deelden 💡 De middag werd afgesloten met een borrel en een diner, geregeld door De Wentelteefjes

Al met al was het een geslaagde middag!

The fields of our suppliers are being prepared for the new growing season: the soil is ploughed and made ready for planting. After that, the bulbs are planted in the soil and covered with a protective layer of straw to shield them from the wind! 🌱

Captain Calla is back at Visit Keukenhof this year 🤗

You can find our potted calla lilies in the Willem-Alexander Paviljoen and our cut calla lilies in the Oranje Nassau Paviljoen.

You can see our callas there until May 10, make sure to stop by and check them out! 💐
