18年，可以改变很多事情。
一个孩子可以长大成人，
一座城市可以变得不一样，
而对HOPE来说，18年，是一段由无数生命、无数善意，一点一点走出来的路。
从2008年开始，HOPE一路走到今天。
这些年来，我们看过太多被遗弃、受伤、生病，甚至已经对人失去信任的生命来到这里。
有一些，最后找到了家。
有一些，留在HOPE慢慢变老。
也有一些，我们拼尽全力，最终还是只能陪它们走完最后一程。
18年里，有开心、有眼泪，也有很多次，我们都不知道自己还能不能继续走下去。
尤其是现在。
我们知道，行情不好。
每个人都有自己的生活压力，企业经营也不容易，大家对于每一笔开销，都比以前更加谨慎。
其实，HOPE也一样。
照顾动物的粮食、医疗、员工、园区维护……不会因为经济不好而暂停。
这里的毛孩也不会因为行情不好，就少吃一餐、少生一次病。
所以，我们还是努力着。
不是因为我们特别勇敢，
而是因为当你看见一双双眼睛在等着你，你很难告诉自己：“算了。”
于是，HOPE走到了第18年。
今年，我们决定举办
HOPE BEYOND 18 – The Next Chapter
希望拾捌 · 向未来 18周年慈善晚宴。
这不只是一场庆祝HOPE成立18周年的晚宴。
我们更希望，它是一个机会
让一路陪着HOPE走过来的朋友，再次聚在一起；
也让第一次认识HOPE的人，看见这18年来，我们为什么一直坚持。
因为我们始终相信：

每一个生命，都值得被认真对待。

18 years can change a lot.
A child can grow into an adult.
A city can become a different place.
And for HOPE, 18 years represents a journey built one rescued life, one helping hand, and one act of kindness at a time.
Since 2008, HOPE has kept going.
Over the years, we have welcomed animals who were abandoned, injured, sick, frightened, and sometimes no longer able to trust people.
Some eventually found homes.
Some stayed with us and grew old at HOPE.
And some, despite everything we tried, simply needed us to stay beside them until their final moment.
There have been happy endings.
There have also been tears.
And more than once during these 18 years, we have quietly wondered how much longer we could keep going.
Especially now.
We understand that times are difficult.
Families are watching their expenses more carefully. Businesses are facing their own challenges. Everyone has responsibilities and commitments of their own.
HOPE understands this too.
But food, medical care, staff and the daily needs of the animals do not stop when the economy becomes difficult.
The animals cannot simply skip a meal or postpone getting sick until times are better.
So, we continue.
Not because we are exceptionally strong,
but because when hundreds of lives are looking back at you, depending on you, walking away has never felt like an option.
And somehow, that journey has brought HOPE to 18 years.
This year, we are holding our 18th Anniversary Charity Gala:
HOPE BEYOND 18 – The Next Chapter
It is more than a celebration of an anniversary.
It is a chance for those who have walked with HOPE over the years to come together again — and for those meeting us for the first time to understand why we have kept going for 18 years.
Because one belief has remained unchanged:
Every Life Matters. Since 2008.
