We don't train "small dogs" we train dog. One of the most common mistakes we see with little dogs is treating them like they are too fragile for real experiences. But when we baby them, carry them everywhere and avoid structure, we accidentally feed them with anxiety and insecurity. Just like large breeds, small dogs need leadership, direction, and meaningful exposure to the world around them. They need to know someone is driving the bus, so they don't feel like they have to be.(Dogs suck at driving) Confidence comes with clarity. Respect comes with boundaries. Fulfillment comes from treating them like they are capable, thinking animals, because they are. No matter the size your dog deserves the same chance at a calm, confident and balanced life.
