We are trying to locate the dog’s owner and reunite him with his family. ❤️

RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP IS ABOUT LOVE AND RESPONSIBILITY❤️ 🐾

This beautiful moment touched our hearts.

Despite facing many health and financial difficulties, this gentleman, who uses a wheelchair, made the effort to bring his beloved companion to the free sterilization and vaccination programme conducted by Dogstar Foundation.

He may have many challenges in his own life but he understands something very important, his dog depends on him. ❤️

Sometimes we hear that people cannot afford to care for their pets, or that their circumstances make responsible ownership difficult. But this person showed us that responsibility is not about having everything, it is about doing the best you can with what you have.

His determination to bring his companion for sterilization and vaccination is a wonderful example for all of us.

Love is not just saying “I love my dog.”
Love is showing up for them. ❤️🐶

The Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte Municipal Councill, Dogstar Foundation and Kotte Animal Welfare are organizing a Free Sterilization and Rabies + DHL + Parvo Vaccination Programme for Dogs from 18th to 23rd August 2026 from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the following locations.

Tuesday, 18th August, the programme will be held in Bandaranayakapura, near the Children’s Park.

LOST DOG – PLEASE HELP FIND HIS FAMILY

This male dog was seen last night, Sunday, 9th August, around 11:30 p.m. near Shangri-la in Colombo 01.

He appears to be lost and scared, has a small chain around his neck, suggesting that he may have an owner who is looking for him.

If you recognise this dog or know his family, please inform them as soon as possible.

Three puppies out of a litter of nine, near the Kotikawatta Junction have been diagnosed with Parvovirus. A kind-hearted individual has rescued them but sadly she does not have the financial means to provide the treatment they urgently need.

There are several other puppies and dogs in her home who are also at risk of contracting this deadly disease. Tragically, one puppy has already lost its life to Parvo.

Every contribution, no matter how small, can help give these puppies a fighting chance. If you are able to assist with treatment costs, medication, food, or any other form of support, please get in touch.
