THAMBILI 🐱🧡
Lost, confused and without his mother, Thambili walked into our lives a couple weeks ago. He had randomly turned up at a member of our team’s house at night time, a rural area with a lot of wildlife that is a danger to such a tiny and vulnerable kitten, like monitor lizards, snakes, and civet cats. How did he get here? And where is his mother?
Obviously, little Thambili couldn’t be left outside, and especially now that the monsoon season has arrived to this area of Sri Lanka, so Thambili has been living in foster - he is safe, he is learning, and he is full of character!
But at first, Thambili was scared of us humans, almost feral, he wouldn’t let us touch him - but over time, and with a lot of patience, we started to see some progression. Thanks to a friendly puppy (pictured is Baby Sam, whom Thambili is sat upon), that helped ‘break the ice’ and so our socialising began.
Now, you would never know that Thambili was a wild thing!! He has really come out of his shell, he struts around and under the bigger dogs he shares his foster home with, he runs after the adult cats too… a tiny thing, with a huge personality!
He’s recently learnt to jump and climb, lovs exploring and playing with the dogs who have helped to raise him, and he now also enjoys lots of snuggles!
Send us a message if you’d like to give little Thambili a home 🏡
